David Cotterill

Hi there, here are some sources.[1][2][3] It may sound strange but it's true... Mattythewhite (talk) 10:55, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Cobweb bridge

Thanks for updating, I'm going to have a look. I love the bridge and was bloody annoyed when it was vandalised. Talltim (talk) 16:05, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Not a problem pal. I believe it's been sorted for a while. It's just a shame some miserable ****holes feel the need to keep wrecking it for a quick few quid!
I was gonna head down there myself next week, see if I can't get a nice photo or something. :) L.J.Skinnerwot|I did 18:38, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
I wouldn't hurry, I've just been there and its still closed and no work looks like it has been done :( Talltim (talk) 12:53, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
That's a shame. I'd hear it'd been fixed. L.J.Skinnerwot|I did 08:54, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Opinion

Lewis have can you have a look at Meadowhall see what you think of recent edits, since you changed my rough conversion to convert, see what you think. cheers2 - --BulldozerD11 (talk) 01:13, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

I assume you're referring to the removal of information. I've put it back, as I think it's all useful, save maybe for the Meadowhell nickname - although I have heard it many times, I doubt it can be sourced, and so needs to removed if challenged. L.J.Skinnerwot|I did 01:16, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
I know your more familiar with the article than me, and to me it changing the POV. The Envior bits abit over weight and look too PR to me. needs convert from Gallons to liters adding. BTW we still use Miles ;) Cheers lewis (would have reverted but database locked {bit like SSC} then other edits made) so was not sure, as change in shops valid up date, but other white wash not. - BulldozerD11 (talk) 02:03, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!
