Recent edits to defunct NHL teams edit

Please comment on your edits regarding removal of the catagory of defunct nhl teams on many defunct nhl team pages. The category states " This category is about ice hockey teams in the National Hockey League that no longer exist, or may have moved since its inception and have gained notoriety at their former location. " Is there a discussion that has taken place that i am not aware of that has sought to remove this category? Thanks for your time Ottawa4ever (talk) 01:59, 18 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I removed that category from those teams because they were already in that category by subcategory. For example, Atlanta Flames is in Category:Atlanta Flames which is in Category:Defunct National Hockey League teams. I apologise, if that was wrong. Lepax (talk) 06:49, 18 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
I looked the pages over myself and the links to defunct teams are still available elsewhere in the article, so it seems kinda redundant to include the category anyway now in my opinion (unless i'm missing something). When you do a large group of edits like that its always good practice to write an edit summary on the edits. Anyway your edits do make the article look better organized :) happy editing Ottawa4ever (talk) 14:52, 18 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
I'll try to remember to write an edit summary from now on. Happy editing for you, too. :) Lepax (talk) 15:20, 18 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Athlete photos edit

Just a message to say thanks for cropping and making images for athlete biographies from the Osaka Championships. It's much appreciated. Even just a single photo can make a big difference for a biography. Cheers! Sillyfolkboy (talk) (edits)WIKIPROJECT ATHLETICS NEEDS YOU! 12:30, 4 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for this message :) I think there are not much Osaka photos anymore but I'll continue searching athlete photos from Commons and when I find, I'll put them in use. Lepax (talk) 13:04, 4 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Autopatrolled edit

Hello, this is just to let you know that I have granted you the "autopatrolled" permission. This won't affect your editing, it just automatically marks any page you create as patrolled, benefiting new page patrollers. Please remember:

  • This permission does not give you any special status or authority
  • Submission of inappropriate material may lead to its removal
  • You may wish to display the {{Autopatrolled}} top icon and/or the {{User wikipedia/autopatrolled}} userbox on your user page
  • If, for any reason, you decide you do not want the permission, let me know and I can remove it
If you have any questions about the permission, don't hesitate to ask. Otherwise, happy editing! Acalamari 21:50, 24 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:10, 14 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Invitation to the African Destubathon edit

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:14, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Yunaska Roger Graffor listed at Redirects for discussion edit

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Yunaska Roger Graffor. Since you had some involvement with the Yunaska Roger Graffor redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so.
