Speedy deletion nomination of Richard Heath and Associates, Inc. edit

A tag has been placed on Richard Heath and Associates, Inc., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia for multiple reasons. Please see the page to see the reasons. If the page has since been deleted, you can ask me the reasons by leaving a message on my user talk page.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Phileasson (talk) 11:45, 13 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Dear Leoguerra33,

thanks for your message on my user talk page. The text you added to the article was an exact copy of several texts on the company's homepage. You did not provide any kind of license from the company which would have been required. One possible way to adress this issue is to ask the owner of the copyright and obtain permission for reuse under the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0 Unported License (CC-BY-SA) and the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL). Please read WP:IOWN for further information how to avoid copyright issues when providing material you or your company owns.

However, please keep in mind that this might solve only the issue with WP:CSD G12, not G11. For that purpose the second, and better, way would be to rewrite the article refraining from copying texts from the company's homepage. Of course you can (and should) use the company's homepage as a reference. But the article should be written idependently from it. The way your article was formulated before, it sounded far too much like being aimed only at promoting your company. Of course the company may use it's own homepage for advertising, but not Wikipedia (WP:SOAP). Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and all it's articles must be written from a neutral point of view.

Please be assured that I am in no way opposing the idea of having an article about your company on wikipedia or claiming any lack of notability. But the article has to adhere to wikipedia's guidelines, as mentioned above. I am confident that you and your colleagues will be able to write such an article soon. You may also want to create your article as a user subpage while you are still in the process of formulating the various parts. However, please note that copyrighted material is not allowed on user subpages either. If you need any assistance you can always place the Template:Help me on your user talk page. Of course you can also approach me if you have any further questions.

Looking forward to your new article! Happy editing!
