ArbCom 2019 election voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:18, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

Editing Talia Hibbert

Hi, I saw your message, and I'm happy to merge pages. The long wait for approval of my draft has been frustrating, and I am definitely interested in any method to make sure this author has a wikipedia page. However, It looks as if you've begun copying the content I wrote already. I would have preferred to transfer my content over myself, as I did spend some time authoring it. Would you mind deleting the sections of my writing from the Talia Hibbert page? I promise to add all the information from my draft by the end of the day. Thank you. ReadingRed, I have deleted the content you wrote that I added to the article I created. I certainly want you to get all the credit for your writing and research. I tried to attribute the edits to you in my comments, but this is not really sufficient. Sorry about that. I was trying to follow the procedures for merging articles, but they are a bit lacking in this instance.Lena Key (talk) 22:07, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for understanding where I am coming from and for being so responsive. As a writer myself, sometimes I can feel overly defensive about the words I create, but I understand I do not truly own anything I publish on Wikipedia. I also appreciate your passion toward getting this page created because I've dealt with disappointment multiple times at having it rejected after trying to make it the best it can be. I hope this will be the final hurdle to jump over so this author can finally be represent on Wikipedia.
