February 2017 edit

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits to East London Transit while logged out. Making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Class455 (talk|stand clear of the doors!) 00:37, 19 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to East London Transit does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Your contributed article, 2017 Reaction to Catalonia declaration of independence edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, 2017 Reaction to Catalonia declaration of independence. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Reactions to the Catalan independence referendum, 2017. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Reactions to the Catalan independence referendum, 2017. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. DrStrauss talk 12:01, 9 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Laytar1. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "London Buses route D3".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing.

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Additionally, you appear to be riding roughshod over articles that have had an established style and layout agreed by consensus without any attempt at communication - if you carry on, you may be blocked. (Also paging Redrose64). Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:48, 1 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Yes indeed, please observe the symbol   at top right - this indicates that the article has been adjudged to be a good article according to these criteria. If you alter the article in such a way that it no longer meets those criteria, it may subsequently lose that status. Before making such large changes, it's best to discuss your intentions at the article's talk page. Some of your edits also cause accessibility problems - such as using semicolon markup instead of true subheadings, which is contrary to MOS:PSEUDOHEAD. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 13:52, 1 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Poisoning edit

I really do not think it is worth a standalone article. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:33, 8 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Anna Frodesiak: I've added a bit, but I think this is right up to the line of WP:NOTNEWS. I'll leave the article for a bit to see if Laytar1 is going to expand it, otherwise I think we should look at doing something else. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 10:37, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Oops (maybe). I looked at it and redirected it. I'll revert and put it up for AfD, giving a day for Laytar to expand it with something worthy, considering this seems not as clear-cut. talk to !dave 10:46, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
I think I was wrong. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:32, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Laytar, could you avoid copy and pasting an entire statement like this? Close paraphrasing of a lengthy quotation is generally considered a copyright violation and has to be reverted, or at least trimmed down. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:01, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on Category:East London Transit stops in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
