Your contributed article, Shilha (disambiguation) edit

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Shilha (disambiguation). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Shilha. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Shilha - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:12, 23 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi. A disambiguation page is for distinguishing between different Wikipedia articles with the same title, which Shilha (disambiguation) clearly does not. There is already an article called Shilha language, so it would possibly be more appropriate for you to add your new material there - perhaps as additional "See also" links. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:16, 23 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Nomination of Shilha (disambiguation) for deletion edit

A discussion has begun about whether the article Shilha (disambiguation), which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shilha (disambiguation) until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 16:23, 23 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Tuat edit

A month ago you put a note on the Tuat talk page pointing out that the article badly needed fixing. I’ve tried to improve the article but I’ve said nothing about the ethnicity of the population nor of the language(s) spoken. I notice that you’ve created an article on the Taznatit language. Could you look at the Tuat article and see whether you think a sentence or two on the ethnicity would be appropriate. Talk:Tuat Thanks Aa77zz (talk) 11:43, 30 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Mokhtar Hasbellaoui edit

The article Mokhtar Hasbellaoui has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Habib Ayyoub moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Habib Ayyoub, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kare language (Adamawa), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Labiovelar consonant (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Shilha edit

Hi Lameen Souag, you clearly know much more than me about the languages that fall under the umbrella of 'Shilha' (I know nothing about this!). However, since disambiguation pages are navigation pages to existing information in Wikipedia, the only links should be within Wikipedia - i.e. no references. And there should only be one link per entry, so there will be no confusion over which link readers should click. You can see a quick summary of formatting for disambiguation pages at WP:DABDD, if you're interested. Leschnei (talk) 13:21, 3 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Habib Ayyoub edit

Hello, Lameen Souag. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Habib Ayyoub".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Interstellarity T 🌟 12:05, 9 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Foqaha language edit

Hey Souag, Hope you're still using wikipedia. I wanted to ask you about the Foqaha Language, is it the same as the Sokna language? In wikipedia Foqaha lang is just a redirect of the Sokna language. Is this misleading? Regards -TheseusHeLl (talk) 19:55, 3 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Only very occasionally, but I noticed your question. The two varieties were probably mutually comprehensible, but there are significant differences between them; it's reasonable to consider them as dialects of the same language, but it should be made clear that they had been separated for quite a while. - Lameen Souag (talk) 21:10, 3 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

I've moved the page back into the article namespace [1]. Lammeen Souag, I take it that the article contained text translated from the corresponding Arabic article; generally, it's preferable to explicitly link to the source article in the edit summary – the link could look something like this: ar:الثعالبة. – Uanfala (talk) 18:44, 18 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Laylat al-Raghaib edit

Greetings, before ongoing on the edit-war, let's solve the dispute on the talkpage first. Usually, the edits which change the topic, unless they are clearly false, should be justified first. YOU may also remember WP:EP, before engaging in this dispute. Maybe we should also talk about WP:OR again. If this edit war continues, and my objections are further ignored, I won't resitate to consult an admin regarding that matter. It is fine to have a deviant opinnion, but keeping on with edits while no resolution has been made and no conensus reached, is bad style. VenusFeuerFalle (talk) 17:37, 29 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

You appear to be under the impression that you're in an entirely different "dispute" than you're actually in. I can only assume this is because you haven't bothered to check the extensive peer-reviewed academic sources I've added; otherwise you would not be continually going on about "fatwas", as if that were what I was basing my edits on, or wasting time correcting assertions that no one is making. - Lameen Souag (talk) 21:28, 29 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
