Creating an article about your band edit
In short, you don't.
So, first off you would have a direct conflict of interest in writing about your band. Writing such articles where you have such a conflict of interest is strongly discouraged. Second, if your band is truly notable enough to pass the standards of notability for inclusion found at WP:NBAND and WP:GNG, then somebody else either has already written an article about it or will in the future. It doesn't have to be you. Third, Wikipedia is not a means of promotion. So, if you are planning on writing an article about your band to make it more well known, this is not allowed. Become well known first, then an article may be written about your band. If, despite all of this, you still think it a worthwhile endeavor to write an article about your band, then please read Help:Your first article. But, if you can't find reliable, secondary sources that are independent of your band, such an article will never be accepted on the project. If you have questions, let me know or use Template:Helpme.
