Speedy deletion nomination of Template:Ladydeenne edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that the page you created was tagged as a test page under section G2 of the criteria for speedy deletion and has been or soon may be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. submitting edit

I have added a template to the page and you can submit it by clicking the green button. Note that if you do so in the current state, it will be declined per WP:NOTADVERT and WP:42.

It may also be deleted from your draft space under our policy for speedy deletions of content that is purely promotional. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 14:36, 28 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

since you havent taken any steps to address the overtly promotional nature and instead have added more "legendary" "at the forefront" etc., I have initiated the speedy deletion. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 21:43, 29 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of "Template:Ladydeenne" edit

A page you created, Template:Ladydeenne, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is nonsense or gibberish.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. LorChat 01:31, 29 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ladydeenne I dont think you understand what a "template" in Wikipedia is. It is a set of coding that allows the same content to appear on multiple pages. Your previous Template was not something that would be at all useful to appear on multiple pages, and your "recreation" of that page by making an "explanation" is certainly not what a template is for. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 02:16, 29 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Ladydeenne/sandbox edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on User:Ladydeenne/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising,  . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 21:34, 29 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

December 2014 edit

Ladydeene, Welcome to Wikipedia, I know many other editors here have welcomed you and let you know that adding information that does not conform to wikipedia policy will be deleted. I suggest your read What WikiPedia is not. This will help you to understand why your articles are being nominated for deletion. WikiPedia is not here for you to create an article that you can send to your boss. WikiPedia is live, you mentioned that you had not published the article yet. That does not matter it is still available for everyone to see. You have also been given tools that will help so you can start to work on an article and have it less likely to be deleted before it is complete. However you many also need to remember COI. You should be very careful when editing things that you may have a conflict of interest in, such as needed to submit something to your boss.

Again welcome to Wikipedia, if you follow the advice given to you in your welcome and learn the rules of the road, this can be a very fun and exciting project to be a part of. If you are just here as part of your job or because your boss needs to edit an article, your experience will not be nearly as rewarding, and you may find yourself blocked from further editing. Thanks, VVikingTalkEdits 01:34, 30 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
