Not getting along edit

What if you're not getting along with a user? (rebel gone pokeynuts)--Spittlespat (talk) 23:12, 20 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Read Wikipedia:WikiLove. Apparently, RQP has already asked for peace on her talk page. Send her a smile (), cookie (), or Wikicake (), or some of the other awards there.
Hope this helps...

And, erm, what's with saying that you feel hated by me (on your userpage)? I don't hate you, and I don't think I hate anybody on the wiki...well, except some really, really screwy vandals. Honest!

Heyhey LP edit

Sorry about that mate, basically changed my major, so been busy catching up on stuff and looking for a job placement :P Will be back soon :)

PS: Thanks for asking :) :)

Valce1 (talk) 00:32, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sorry to bother you, but you now have a new assignment. And, uh I've got a new system on my page. Now, I've realized, for proper wikiquette, it's best to continue conversations on the page where they started. *bonks head* So...I'll template you, and just follow the link to get my reply, kapeesh? As if you haven't noticed already...
I recommend you take up this practice for others who message you. It does kinda make sense, actually. —La Pianista (TCS) 04:18, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Royal Militia of Pokeynutity edit

You have been offered a place in the Royal Militia of Pokeynutity as a General. Please respond ASAP - positions are given out in a first in, first served basis ~ The Rebel's Gone Pokeynuts LOL 02:58, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Um, no I can't be, since I'm a Queen of another faction. We can be allies, though, I hope. —La Pianista (TCS) 03:59, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Scratch that, I think that Chamal has posed a question on the WikiNation's talk page. I'll wait for a reply and see.
And could you please, pretty please, with a Holy Banana on top, watch my talk page so that we can carry conversations here without me having to template you? Thanx muchly, —La Pianista (TCS) 04:23, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sorry if this is rude, but...
12 years old, and already have an ex? The only ex I've ever had is an ex-piano teacher, and I'm older than you. —La Pianista (TCS) 04:35, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh god, I went out with him last year for like a week. end of story. he still likes me (which is a leetle scary, seeing as i'm not exactly angelina jolie). but compared to the other girls at school, i am very, very, very unlucky in love. (i didn't really like me ex. i just went out with him because it took him like, a week to ask me out ~ Her Holy Jamoley Highness Rebel Queen Pokeynut 08:37, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
A place in my militia is still up for grabs - Major General under Chamal_N. Also, if Chamal asks you, there is a Special Force called Chief Warrant Officers, see him for more info about that ~ Her Holy Jamoley Highness Rebel Queen Pokeynut 12:20, 23 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Left a message on his talk page, thank you muchly. —La Pianista (TCS) 05:53, 24 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wow edit

That's nothing compared to yours. How did you get soooo many? Anyway I'm getting lonely and running out of things to do. No-one talks to me any more and I just don't have time to welcome people any more. I'll get round to it. The thing should say who viewed it? How do you get soo many people to know you last time I had what you have was in June and hen is was rare anyone spoke to me. Chubbennaitor 08:42, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Replied on Chubby's page. I've decided to follow his system for these messages, if no one minds. —La Pianista (TCS) 15:21, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've given up on them. None reply and are rarely on. No-one has not signed my secret page. I don't revert vandalism much because it doesn't get in my way. I've never been vandalised ever. I've given up adopting because no-one's interested and I'm just not there for them when they are there, I'd love to co-adopt with someone who knows what they are doing more than I do. I was never adopted and I worked it out for myself so I never needed to. I'm sure I should know more but I'm fine thank you doing what I'm doing now. You should go here please go to the middle and go there. It's nothing much. Chubbennaitor 17:54, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I try and do minor grammar and copy editing for pages that have been flagged for cleanup. Is there any way I should indicate that the page has been cleaned up and remove the flag on the page? Mkustel (talk) 04:10, 22 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

The best thing to do is to post a note on the talk page of the article, stating that you've copyedited the article or section. A quick note, that's all. If all goes well, and no one opposes to removing the tag, you can remove the tag in a few days if someone doesn't object.
If someone does object, try to work out the situation maturely and try to work out the other person's concerns. If you and others are still at odds, you can always go to Requests for Comment to see what the fellas there think (this would best come after a week or two of discussion amongst yourselves, first).
Believe me, I've seen a few ugly conflicts that could have been spared by a word or two not said. Use your judgment, and remember that consensus, not power or position, is the key to success.
And sorry if this sounds all sermon-y...I'm feeling...sermon-y-ish. :) —La Pianista (TCS) 04:18, 22 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Great. And how exactly would I remove the cleanup tags? Sorry I'm fairly new to Wikipedia, I just have a weird passion for editing for style and grammar. Mkustel (talk) 23:02, 22 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Disregard Chubby's comments. This came from a different discussion.
The cleanup tags look something like . Just click the edit tab and delete it. It couldn't be easier. :)
Oh, and that "Exceptional Newcomer Award" is for having lots of "weird passion." Good luck with your work! —La Pianista (TCS) 19:00, 23 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well it can't hurt. It's just I would like another friend there. Chubbennaitor 14:43, 22 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Piano Concerto No. 2 edit

Taking your *hint*, I took a look at the article Piano Concerto No. 2 (Rachmaninoff). Right now, the article is more or less greek to me. It's not because of language problems, but because I understand nothing about music. Because I know nothing about music, I don't understand the musicy words here. My area of interest is the military, very different and very far from music ;) Anyway, I think the article can be expanded a lot more, and here are two links with a lot of info that may be very useful if you're going to do it.

These were hidden at the bottom of the references section. There's one more book there, which might be useful I guess, if you can find it. I'm not going to be bold here and edit the article, because I feel I might harm it rather than improve it because of my lack of knowledge on the subject. (And looking at the talk page, you musicians seem to cling on very passionately to your ideas. If I do something wrong, I'll be slaughtered. They scared me away) Good luck with it then, if you're going to do it :) Chamal Talk ± 13:00, 22 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oh, Chamal, you didn't have to do that! File:Blush.png I was only joking. I knew your expertise was in the Indian/Sri Lankan military; I didn't mean push you out of your way to the piranha pool (they can be vicious, I know).
Thanks so much for the links. I didn't really think you'd do it...

La Pianista (TCS) 18:06, 22 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

No worries. The links were already there anyway :) Chamal Talk ± 00:19, 23 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Meaning of My Name edit

You left a note on my talk page regarding this. The Redmark part of my name stands for the red mark that most violinists get from practicing on the side of their neck or cheek. Cheers, ṜέđṃάяķvюĨїήīṣŢ Drop me a line 15:18, 24 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ah. Didn't know that. I have a flautist cousin, a guitarist friend, and a cellist friend, but no violinist friends. So I wouldn't know. :)
But I do get a blue mark - if I bump my knee against the edge of my piano. ——La Pianista (TCS) 20:13, 24 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've got to list this conversation on my humor page. Seriously, Sinebot-bleeding-crazy-dude. —La Pianista (TCSR) 02:23, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ooof. That's a harsh accusation. Out of curiosity, if he is Vader, who is his son? ;D -talk- the_ed17 -contribs- 02:30, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Cluebot, naturally. —La Pianista (TCSR) 02:31, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Another question: how do bots/machines have offspring? -talk- the_ed17 -contribs- 02:32, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Their creators create them by replicating and fusing their scripts (comparable to living DNA). Of course, this is where we get such gems villains as Cluebot IV and VoABot II. Thus, it is grammatically correct to refer to them as Cluebot the Fourth and VoaBot the Second.La Pianista (TCSR) 02:36, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
(single double edit conflict) I just noticed this from above: "Seriously, Sinebot-bleeding-crazy-dude." Why crazy? I think that that is a personal attack...time to go the WP:AN/I. You know...that is just plain mean. How would you feel if you were crazy and some random dude on the street walks up to you and says, "Dude, you are crazy!" That's like those muggers that prowl around, offering free hugs....
(single e/c) :::::Ahhh I see. Like cloning almost! I'm starting to run out of ideas for more stupid things to say.... -talk- the_ed17 -contribs- 02:39, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
...Dude, you are crazy! Happy? Report me, I dare ya.La Pianista (TCSR) 02:41, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
...I wonder if that would be considered vandalism or just a stupid joke? (I mean, me posting to there, not the "Crazy" thing.) -talk- the_ed17 -contribs- 02:43, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Put euphemistically, my friend, it would be something for a fine day in the future. Thanks so much for this conversation...Rotfl, really. :D —La Pianista (TCSR) 02:45, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oooo good idea. Remind me on, like, March 29th or something...the evil kitteh-murderer "Kittehmaster" will, once more, arise out of the depths of...not Hell, so....where?(Somewhere) to spread terror, wreak havoc and stain the servers red (and green, for a 4-month late Christmas celebration). Will SineBot be able to stop his evil lurkings? Find out next time, in the next season of....BLOOOOOODY MURDER!. Anyway, cheers! -talk- the_ed17 -contribs- 02:49, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Haha, sorry to kid with you there. ;) Of course I'm willing to be friends with you. :)
One note, though, since you've blanked your anti-vandal class page, would you want it to be deleted? If so, I will tag it for you. —La Pianista (TCSR) 03:35, 27 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh, and about the Wikifriending - It's L-a P-i-a-n-i-s-t-a, with an "i" between the "n" and the "t." Your page spelled it as "La Piansta." :) —La Pianista (TCSR) 04:26, 27 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes, you can make your sig blue! In fact, I can design it for you. Wait just a moment, but stay online for me a minute. :) —La Pianista (TCSR) 23:38, 27 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

ok thanks, rember make new episodes of blooooody murder.--Spittlespat (talk) 23:41, 27 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Here is the code:
<span style="color:darkblue;font-family:comic sans ms;cursor:help">Spittle</span><span style="color:dodgerblue;font-family:comic sans ms;cursor:help">spat!</span> <span title="Representation in the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA)" class="IPA">ǀ</span> <small><span style="color:orangered;">T</span> ♦ <span style="color:limegreen;">C</span> ♦ <span style="color:goldenrod;">S</span></small>
And this is what it looks like:
Spittlespat! ǀ TCS
Check out what happens when you roll your cursor over the "Spittlespat" part. :)
But this sig is pretty long. Here are the directions for using it:
 1. Create a subpage called User:Spittlespat/sig.
 2. Copy the code I gave you onto the page and save. Do not add anything else to that page.
 3. Go to "my preferences", which is at the top of your screen.
 4. In the box that says "Signature", type .
 5. Save your preferences.
And then you're done! Tell me how you like it. :) —La Pianista (TCSR) 23:57, 27 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Have you downloaded it? (and I found your secret page in the meanwhile) :D —La Pianista (TCSR) 02:34, 29 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Good question...I'm not on my computer anymore (I let a friend use it for Warcraft III) but I will look at that tomorrow...thanks for the help! —the_ed17— 03:33, 29 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
I couldn't find your secret page today...I searched for 15 minutes, too. -_- —the_ed17— 03:34, 29 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

LOL you just made my day!!!! Hilarious!
And owwww. I have injuries anew...will SineBot save me? XD
The smiley was there to show that I was kidding you know. =)
I knew you were kidding. It's just my crooked sense of humor. :P But...aw...I thought I was gonna be attacked next time!
Oh, well. BTW, teh Sinein' man didn't sign your comment. Oooo...La Pianista (TCSR) 23:25, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Looks like Tux to the rescue! He will provide you with an animated image of himself when he was a baby, which you can watch and admire his cuteness.
Now don't you feel better? —La Pianista (TCSR) 03:01, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well, you WOULD have been the next to be attacked, except that someone had to go and pull out a trout.
I'm hurt. SineBot hates me....='(
Awwwww Where's my shotgun.... =p Cheers! —the_ed17— 03:06, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
But, now, a trout can't be that harmful, eh? ;) —La Pianista (TCSR) 03:08, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Um, the shotty is/was meant for "Tux". ;D Who is replying in 2 seconds NOW!the_ed17— 03:15, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
(e/c) LOL, yeh. But, to quote you, you know, "Forgive and forget!"
But no more of the tongue-in-cheekness, eh? The insides of my cheek are starting to hurt. ;) How are your injuries? —La Pianista (TCSR) 03:17, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
=p (e/c) hilarious...oops!
They are close to mortal. Tux jumped me before I could hobble over to my shotgun, worsening my injuries. Only my recent experiments with Twinkle vanquished him. —the_ed17— 03:30, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
...
I must break to you the fact that I have run out of treatments for you. Unless...
*gasp* What is that? Why, it seems as if Kittehmaster has come back! And he has regurgitated his gigantic, magical furballs all over your wounds, healing them instantly! Huzzah! And don't make me slap you with a trout again... XDLa Pianista (TCSR) 03:39, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

(outdent) Ummm wasn't Kittehmaster the bad guy? (or am I on the right track if I say that his a kitten and therefore cannot be evil...?) Secondly, isn't "huzzah" used as a battle cry for the good guys? (Disregard this if the other parenthesis is true)
NO TROUT SLAPPING NEEDED, THANKS.
So here's an interesting doozy...online on Warcraft III, there is this girl "from Tennessee" who is infatuated with me...I've never seen her before, never talked to her in real life—I just played with her in like 3 different games. Her name on there is "MHS_cheerleader" and she "was voted as the hottest girl in the school" and she "wants to be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader"...she has a "sex-crazed boyfriend" who she "keeps having to stop" (she "wants to wait 6 months").........But here's the kicker: she happens to not have a Myspace or a Facebook, and also...she claimed to not know what Facebook is. Do you think I am right in thinking that it is some idiot playing tricks with my mind? I dunno what to think... Anyway, I thought that this might make you laugh, but seriously, what do you think? (you being a girl and all =]) —the_ed17— 03:56, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

huggle again.... edit

I downloaded .NET Framework 2.0 and it said that it was incompatible with a previously installed version (or something like that)... -_-

I guess that I just won't use Huggle! =D No big deal, just more typing. —the_ed17— 05:18, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sorry to barge in, but I just wanted to tell you that something has gone wrong with Huggle. Everyone seems to be having some sort of problem with it, looking at the feedback page. Check WP:HUG. But if that's not your problem, did you uninstall the previous .NET version before installing .NET 2.0? You have to do that. Cheers. Chamal Talk ± 11:27, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
How do I uninstall it? (I feel sooooo computer illiterate...) —the_ed17— 15:15, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
If you have Windows, go through the start panel and click "Control Panel." Then click "Add or remove programs."
If that doesn't work (or if you have Mac), I'm practically stumped. I have a feeling Chamal is more compu-literate than I. ;)
But Huggle works fine on my computer. It was wacky for a few days, then I re-unified my account and fixed it...somehow. :) —La Pianista (TCSR) 18:58, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I'll try that...so much work for a little huggle. =) Thanks! (gotta do a little vandal fighting if I ever want to go for admin, so...IF being a key word...) —the_ed17— 19:12, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
So I'm using Twinkle now....everything's fine, but how do I stop it from adding every page I use it on to my watchlist? —the_ed17— 04:15, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Jumping in again - sorry about that ;) You have to add these lines to your your monobook.js page. This will configure Twinkle to not watch any pages; CSD noms, PRODs, Reverted pages or talk pages where you issue warnings.
TwinkleConfig = {
	watchSpeedyPages :	[],
	watchProdPages :	false,
	watchRevertedPages :	[],
 watchWarnings : false,
};
For more about configuring Twinkle, check here. Cheers. Chamal Talk ± 15:04, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
No prob, keep jumping in! And I looked at that page and couldn't make heads nor tails of it, so...that's why I asked. =) Thanks! —the_ed17— 15:06, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Did I add it in right? (I think I broke it...=/...) —the_ed17— 15:11, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
When I try to revert something with Twinkle now, it gets this far and stops.
Grabbing data of earlier revisions: revision 238971329 that was made 1 revisions ago by Pete.Hurd
Reverting page: data loaded...
Info: Open user talk page edit form for user 205.202.32.98
Did I add it right? =) —the_ed17— 15:20, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

You have to keep "importScript('User:AzaToth/twinkle.js');" as well. Check my page if you want. (I've added all the settings, but it's not necessary - you can add only the lines you need) I'm watching CSD, PROD and warnings, but not reverted pages. Chamal Talk ± 15:23, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

It still doesn't open the user talk pages automatically...it stops at saying "Info: Open user talk page edit form for user ____"! =( —the_ed17— 15:31, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
If the talk page doesn't open, maybe your browser bocks pop ups - it opens in a new window. But if it doesn't continue from there, I'm stumped :( But it does take some time, so give it a few seconds and see. Chamal Talk ± 15:40, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
So I can warn people, but I can't revert 'cos it won't open the user talk page....? Weiiiird. (And it worked last night with the same settings I was using before....) —the_ed17— 15:47, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I can do anything EXCEPT open user talk pages....wtf? —the_ed17— 15:49, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh, damn!!! I don't understand. (I feel I'm just cluttering this page up. Sorry La Pianista) The talk page opening shouldn't be a problem - it's not supposed to stop the reversion. I have popups blocked and talk page doesn't open, but the revert works. But it does get stuck for sometime if the edit has already been reverted by someone else, before displaying the message about it already been changed. La Pianista, are you around? Urgent help needed from someone who is not an idiot like me... Chamal Talk ± 16:02, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh. my. gosh. -_- I tried to just "restore" a previous version, and it is stuck with a message saying "Reverting page: data loaded..." Stupid vandal-fighting mechanisms....sorry for all of the trouble guys. =/ (On the other hand, thanks for the help! =])—the_ed17— 17:04, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm in now, thanx. But by all means, Chamal keep it up - you're no idiot. :) I'm not into scripts at all, either - I just copypaste it from some folks who know how. :P
Anyhow, my two pennies: just copy my TW code on my page. It's the stuff that starts with "Twinkle config" (naturally).
Actually, I nuked the old "AzaToth" js code, and Twinkle still works fine. So, just copypaste mine over your code and see what happens. ;) —La Pianista (TCSR) 17:12, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh, and no worries about the automatic page watching. I've disabled that on my script already, and it works swimmingly. —La Pianista (TCSR) 17:15, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
