April 2020 edit

Hello, I'm Hulmem. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Joe Thomas (producer), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. hulmem (talk) 22:29, 14 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Joe Thomas (producer), give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:LOrricoPR, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=LOrricoPR|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia.   — Jeff G. ツ 23:07, 14 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your addition to Joe Thomas (producer) has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. hulmem (talk) 20:42, 15 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

But as previously discussed, you must cite a reliable source. If you continue to add unsourced material, it will continue to be reverted. Please look carefully at the links previously provided on what constitutes a reliable source. hulmem (talk) 03:09, 28 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

May 2020 edit

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. --ili (talk) 23:02, 9 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing from certain pages (Joe Thomas (producer)) for abuse of editing privileges.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Guy (help!) 23:09, 9 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

I have disclosed via my page that I am employed by Joe Thomas to make edits as instructed via Wiki. I have been updating inaccuracies of the page and have updated it, since much of the info is incorrect and outdated. LOrricoPR (talk) 01:59, 10 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

You did disclose the relationship, which is good, but you did not respond to all the previous concerns brought up above and only communicated with other users after you were blocked. That's troubling. Partial blocks like the one you have received are kind of a new thing here, but I think you could still request edits via the talk page using the process outlined at WP:ER. I think you should go that route, show you can make requests for edits that comply with the policies already mentioned in the notices above, and those edits will get made, and at some point the block could probably be lifted. Beeblebrox (talk) 02:21, 10 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Beeblebrox, yes, the block is the article only, the talk page should be fine. Guy (help!) 06:55, 11 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Though posting the same bio you wrote for IMDB to Talk:Joe Thomas (producer) isn't necessarily a good idea. (By the way, by putting the bio you wrote there, you have irrevocably allowed reuse, including commercial reuse, of the bio with nothing more than attribution of the work to you required in return.) —C.Fred (talk) 01:02, 30 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
