Hi LESEditor,

I notice all your new articles are connected with Wiley-VCH and Chemistry Europe. Are you working for either of these organisations? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 01:33, 25 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi there! Yes, I do work for Wiley-VCH. However, I am not in marketing and I have been creating these pages in the evening out of office time. I noticed that some journals are missing from Wikipedia and thought I could add some basic information without issue. I also plan to contribute to other Wikipedia pages, as I am a copy editor, but decided to start here. LESEditor (talk) 04:38, 25 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for replying. The articles have not been promotional, But I was uncertain about notability. 13:10, 26 April 2020 (UTC)

Ways to improve ChemPhotoChem

edit

Hello, LESEditor,

Thank you for creating ChemPhotoChem.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

References independent of the journal will prove notability

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Graeme Bartlett}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

@Graeme Bartlett: Thanks for the tip! I will see what I can do to improve the page. LESEditor (talk) 07:22, 29 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

The same kinds of improvement will help for most of those journal article you make. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 08:06, 29 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Graeme Bartlett: I have now added two additional independent references for the journal description (Stanford Libaries SearchWorks Catalog entry and Northwestern University Library E-Resources description). Does this constitute acceptable third-party referencing?LESEditor (talk) 18:25, 29 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Chemistry—Methods

edit

The article Chemistry—Methods has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable new journal. Not indexed in any selective databases, no independent sources. Does not meet WP:NJournals or WP:GNG. Article creation premature.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
