Thanks for uploading Image:GreystoneXFac.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

episode numbers

Hi, I saw you started migrating the List of The A-Team episodes to use {{Episode list}}; kudos. I'd like bring Template talk:Episode list#Parameters to your attention; it calls for episodes to be numbered from 1-n for the series, not each season. This is not a stylistic issue, it is technical; the template generates IDs of the form id="ep1"... ID="ep75" which allow linking directly to an individual instance of the template and if the Episode numbers are reset for each season, you get duplicate IDs and links will all end up in the first season. You can use the EpisodeNumber2 parameter for the number within a season. See here where I just made this sort of change to List of Monk episodes. Best, Jack Merridew 12:11, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi again, I've close the A-Team episode discussion and redirected one of the episode articles. They should all be done this way, but there is the issue of the leading zeros you're using; I don't think we've a guideline on this, but I'd suggest dropping it. I see you're in the middle of editing these so I'll hold off and leave it to you for now. Anyway, when you get to season two, you'll encounter the issue I first commented on. Redirecting articles does not lose the prior content; it is still there and can be restored. Such content for redirected episode articles should not be restored unless the editor doing so has a plan to establish proper grounds for the article to exist. For example, the One More Time plot summary is still there. Key to understanding a wiki is understanding that everything has a temporal dimension --Jack Merridew 09:44, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I'm done with the A-Team LOE - for now; there seem to be no production codes on tv.com for season 3+ and I see no value in these. A Team

I just read your request at WT:TV about the article The A-Team. I am currently also in need of a native copy editor and I know how hard it is to find one. I only watched this show as a kid (my brother was the one who was into this show) and don't remember much, but I can give you some notes:

• Overall sectioning - good. See Lost (TV series) and Arrested Development (TV series) for other encyclopedic possibilites.
• Intro sentence: about - who -while - too complex and confusing
• Have a look at {{cite web}}.
• I wouldn't use "According to" in the intro section; rather use <ref>s there.
• Despite being thought of as mercenaries - who thought so?
• There are talks of a movie. - where? Any maybe rather say "There are rumors about a new movie"
• Footnotes come after punctuation
• The name of the show comes from "A-teams"... feels tagged on in the intro
• The A-Team revolves around the four members of a former commando outfit and current group of mercenaries - remove the "the"
• Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck (Dirk Benedict) serves as the team's con-man and proprietor of vehicles and other useful items. - reads like Faceman serves as other useful items - strange.
• I don't know whether I'm correct here, but I thing there should be commas after "Originally", "In the show's first season", etc.
• The character section switches between in-universe and out-of-universe style when talking about cast changes - very confusing for me as I neither remember the characters' nor the actors' names. It is also confusing because there are (IMHO) too many people mentioned there, but it is not apparent what their role is (notability?).
• Using parantheses "(" and ")" is discouraged. Find other ways in prose to include the info.
• As the television ratings of The A-Team fell dramatically during the fourth season the format was changed for the show's final season in 1986-1987 in a bid to win back viewers etc. in the plot synopsis - rather create a new "Cancellation" or "Season 5 changes" section because this has nothing to do with Plot. There is also too much "random" plot info there that I as an outsider cannot relate to. (I.e. you need to make this section more accessible by removing unnecessary plot details, and expand the relevant plot info there.)
• The first season credits open with "Ten years ago...", instantly dating the serie - redundant with what has been said right before that sentence
• Opening sequence - reads like descriptive fancruft, but what would be interesting is why all these changes for each season. Needs references.
• Formulaic nature of episodes - too much plot info; the only good info I found there was The show became emblematic of this kind of "fit-for-TV warfare" due to its depiction of high-octane combat scenes, with lethal weapons, wherein the participants (with the notable exception of General Fullbright) are never killed and rarely seriously injured (see also on-screen violence), but this needs a reference.
• Connections to the Vietnam War - good section, but needs references
• Cultural and societal impact - good section, but needs references
• "--" in Reception section - see WP:MOS how to do dashes
• Further analysis section - is this detailed example really necessary? Also, do all instances of on-screen deaths need to be mentioned? (You could mention them in footnotes like the current first footnote on Avatars (Carnivàle) instead, for example.)

Overall, a good first attempt, but as you said, it still needs (much) work, and I tried to give an overview over the issues. What I did with Carnivàle (an obscure TV show I wrote about) was to separate the plot from the show info and move it to Fictional universe of Carnivàle. Since The A-Team is already 54 kB in size, it might need splitting soon anyway, so separating these two topics might be a good idea once you have enough material (+ sources) to sustain a new article. What I currently see as one of the article's main problems (especially in the first part) was that it gives in-show examples, then synthesizes these examples into a statement. What would be better is to say "John Doe of The New York Times called The A-Team this and that, as can be observed in the episode XYZ." If you can't (or won't) do these changes yourself, you can copy the above points to the show's talk page. RE:Angel (Buffyverse) image

Image on the infobox basically shows Angel in his prime. How he "truly" looks like as a vampire. The other image shows Boreanaz much older, and a bit chunky. It takes away the illusion of his character's immortality. On a minor note, the other image's quality is very poor. No good use on an infobox.--The Scourge 18:10, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Angel (Buffyverse)

Hi, I've noticed your work on this article, and thought you might be interested to know that I just created a sandbox to improve it. I find sandboxes are helpful for making drastic edits to a page, which is what this article needs. I've not really done anything to it yet, but if you have any input or suggestions, I'd like to hear them. I plan on completely rewriting the page into sections entitled Appearances, Characterization, and Pop culture, similar to my other sandboxes for Buffy and Faith. If you look at some well-written character articles like Jason Voorhees, Jabba the Hutt, and Jack Harkness, you'll see that character histories and "in-universe" information about the character are discouraged. Again, if you have any plans for how this page should be rewritten, let me know. :) Paul730 22:37, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
