Introductions edit
Hi Krista, I'm Jon. I'm introducing myself to you because I'm in your class and I need to complete one of the homework assignments for this week: "To practice editing and communicating on Wikipedia, introduce yourself to another student on their user talk page." I'm in the Rhetoric/Composition program, and I teach English at Belmont College. I'm originally from Oklahoma, but I've lived in 7 other states and 3 countries in Europe. I've got a wife, Amy and two children, Jaden and Saidra. I like music, writing, video games, and teaching. Hi Krista, this is Ally from the Queer Theory course. I'm looking forward to working with you on updating the passing (sociology) page. It looks like there's a lot of discussion and commentary on the talk page already. I've skimmed through it and there seems to be a lot of disagreement. It also seems like the page has been split into passing (sociology), passing (gender), and passing (race). It may be a good idea for us to clarify on Monday/Wednesday which page exactly we'll be editing. --Ah728213 (talk) 19:02, 24 January 2016 (UTC)

Hi, KristaFrost. I've fixed some of the references on your draft page. It's not clear to me on that page what is intended to be added to the article and what is commentary. I suggest you add your content it a bit at a time, to make sure it fits with the tone and style of the rest of the article and other Wikipedia articles. You may find if you paste your whole change in that it departs from the tone/style/formatting of the article you're editing and fixing a small amount of that is easier than fixing a few hundred words.
