Should we make the distinction? edit

It appears as if only you and I care about Basilides and his followers beliefs. So, it's best to decide what to do. I think we should go ahead with the change. If we do that, I can bulk-alter Basilides under "Creation", which is thoroughly confusing, by taking Basilideans "Creation according to Hippolytus" and moving it to Basilides. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Glorthac (talkcontribs) 00:30, 19 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Got a question edit

I was looking through the Gospel of Thomas and I noticed this reference: Jesus said, "I shall choose you, one from a thousand and two from ten thousand, and they will stand as a single one." (Gospel of Thomas Saying #23)

This is similar to the Basilideans 'secrecy' you mentioned on the Basilideans page. I was wondering if you could search the book you got the information from, and find the source they used to say that the Basilideans only told their secrets to 1 in a 1000 and 2 in 10000. If they have a good source, I could connect them to the Gospel of Thomas! That'd be an interesting find, wouldn't it?Glorthac (talk) 01:25, 4 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your welcome edit

It's nice not to get attacked for doing something on wikipedia for a change! Usually I add something and I have to battle critics for it to stay there. So thank you too for being nice.Glorthac (talk) 00:33, 27 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

The Man Who Sold the World edit

Hi mate, didn't want to just revert you but I think the wording re. the music arrangements is more accurate the way it was before. Nicholas Pegg (who I cited) and David Buckley both say that the album as a whole was mainly arranged by Visconti and Ronno, not 'several songs'. If you've got other sources let me know but those I have suggest the previous wording was appropriate. Cheers, Ian Rose 10:21, 5 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ogdoad edit

I've just suggested that this article be divided into two, one for the ancient Egyptian concept and one for the Gnostic. I've asked for input on the details at Talk:Ogdoad#Egyptian and Gnostic. A. Parrot (talk) 20:23, 21 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
