October 2013 edit

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Bataan Death March may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Shofner edit

There are some books on the subject, but I haven't read them. Tell me, how does he get from Corregidor to DaPrCol? Thanks – S. Rich (talk) 19:59, 9 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

FYI, here is the Life magazine link (from the Shofner article): [1]. It looks like they went from Corregidor to Cabanatuan, and then to Manila for a convoy to Davao. See page 97. – S. Rich (talk) 20:24, 9 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Shofner went from Cabanatuan to DAPECOL w/ about 1,000 others aboard the Erie Maru in Oct-November 1942. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kohlerdino (talkcontribs)

So how did he get to Cababatuan? And what sort of WP:Reliable sources do we have? Thanks. – S. Rich (talk) 22:59, 9 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

The men from Corregidor went by ship to Manila, marched to Bilibid Prison, and then by train to Cabanatuan. Looking over the refs on the Bataan Death March page I'm not sure any specifically make this point. I'll check the Lukacs book as it seems most likely to. On the other hand, it's all rather peripheral to the Death March. I guess it should be added to Shofner's page.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Kohlerdino (talkcontribs)

Thanks. My interest in the subject comes from doing the Bataan Memorial Death March at White Sands. – S. Rich (talk) 15:28, 10 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
