Welcome to Wikipedia! edit

Dear Kminiter: welcome to Wikipedia, a free and open-content encyclopedia. I hope you enjoy contributing. To help get you settled in, I thought you might find the following pages useful:

Don't worry too much about being perfect. Very few of us are! Just in case you are not perfect, click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user talk (discussion) page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. A third option is to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator.

One last bit of advice: please sign any discussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself and be BOLD!   -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 06:17, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Witeck-Combs Communications, Inc. edit

Hi, Kevin!

The page was moved, so the link you should be following is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Witeck-Combs_Communications%2C_Inc.. What link were you using?

I suspect the search engine just hasn't caught up with the new page. Try again in a day or so and see if that works.

I'm glad to see you adding pages! And I'll be glad to help in any way I can. You might want to take a look at WP:CORP, because when I first saw your article, I almost nominated it for deletion. Any article needs to assert why the subject is important, and all content should be attributable to reliable sources. Your article cites sources very nicely, though I'm not sure about the notability of the corporation. But that's something we can work on :)

A couple minor notes about Wiki-Etiquette for you... When you add a comment to a talk page (either a user or an article), add it to the end so that notices and things don't get dislodged. Secondly, you can sign your posts using four tildes like this: ~~~~. That also puts the date and time so things can be archived by bots and such.

Once again, Welcome to Wikipedia! And if you're interested, take a look at the LGBT WikiProject - you might even want to sign up as a member! -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 21:31, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of 4-rth edit

A tag has been placed on 4-rth requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. srushe (talk) 11:27, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

December 2008 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. I have nothing personal against this company. I just feel that the article doesn't explain why the company is notable. srushe (talk) 12:07, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

4-rth edit

If you are determined to make a page based on sustainable fashion companies perhaps summarise them all together on the Sustainable fashion page. Or if you want an article for a particular company create it in your own userspace here and when you are sure it is suitable you can move it to the article space. The problem you seem to currently have is notability. Thanks for your contributions and I hope you can create your page soon. Just send me a message if you have any other querys. repeated links edit

Kminiter - good work getting things going on Fred Karger and related pages! One stylistic point I'd like to raise, to save you (and other editors) time in the future: if a term appears repeatedly in the text, generally you should only link to its page the first time, per WP:REPEATLINK. I've done some cleaning up (of that and other things) on the Fred page, and a little on NOM's page. --Nat Gertler (talk) 13:27, 9 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
