Welcome edit

Hello, Kkken, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! -- Thesquire (talk - contribs) 21:41, 26 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the welcome note. I joined up because I saw the Scouting Project banner on an article, and followed the links from there.

BP articles edit

kkken: You said you'd ordered the Jeal book from the library. If you do read it, I'd really like to know what you think of it. I found the comments you left on the talk page of the sexuality article to be very good. You wrote that much better than I could have. Rlevse 14:43, 5 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! (But I think you're too modest.)
The library has one copy of the book, so I'm just waiting for them to send it to my local branch. Then there's the small matter of slogging through 670 pages... Kkken 10:31, 6 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
OK. Also, I'd like someone (you if you're interested or whomever) to write a NPOV full review of the entire book at Baden-Powell: Founder of the Boy Scouts (book) 16:38, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
"Neutral point of view" and "book review" sound like an oxymoron to me :-D (in general, I mean), so someone would have to point me to some examples for starters. And I'm chuckling at the irony of me writing a review, considering that History was my least-favourite subject in school. But who knows? I'm thinking, though, that the B-P bio is the current priority. It sounds like the book contains lots of factual material, so that's where I'd probably want to contribute first.
There are several book reviews on wiki. If you finish the book and are interested in this, let me know. Rlevse 12:39, 7 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
Got the book today. Kkken 00:06, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Scouting article work edit

If you are getting this, it is because you do or did work on Scouting articles (see Wikipedia:WikiProject_Scouting#Participants_and_primary_areas_of_interest).

As the Scouting WikiProject has been formed since early January 2006, we've had many great improvements made in this area of Wiki and I want to personally thank everyone for their help. We don't always agree on things, but we keep moving forward. YIS, Rlevse 22:09, 25 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Eagle Scout Peer Review edit

I listed the Eagle Scout article for a formal peer review a few moments ago in the hope in about 2 weeks to list it as a FAC. Based on my experience with other FACs and one of my own successful FAs, I think there are two things people may object to: a) is the lead long enough? and b) are there too many lists? Please think these issues over. Thanks for all the help, Randy. YIS, Rlevse 11:46, 26 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please adopt your province edit

I am trying to create provincial Scout articles for Canada. Please help fill in some blanks for Scouting in your province! Thanks, YiS, Chris 23:52, 6 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Done. Also posted a couple of threads on the article Discussion page. No replies, though.

Augmented sixth chord edit

Hi, I thought you'd like to know that I rewrote Augmented sixth chord. I think it addresses your suggestion. It could definitely use a proof read, would you care to take a look over it? - Rainwarrior 23:59, 27 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Done, and response logged on article talk page. Love that colourful new graphic.

Red link removal edit

Per Wikipedia:Red link#Dealing with existing red links, please consider stopping removing red links. As the guidelines suggest, they're useful and non harmful and in general should not be removed. --Tagishsimon (talk) 11:43, 2 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
