February 2015 edit

Hello, I'm Theroadislong. I noticed that you made a change to an article, George Terry, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Kitty Terry aka Kitty Woodson Terry, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy deletion candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Theroadislong (talk) 16:27, 9 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Our conflict of interest policy edit

Hello, Kitty Terry aka Kitty Woodson Terry. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 10:31, 21 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Help me! edit

I am asking for help to establish a Wikipedia Page. I feel some research was done and though I was also married to a famous guitar player that played with a rock star I was a serious victim of Domestic Violence that permanently disabled me. I wrote a new Bio and gave links and show of sources and work and I feel I have read that I might have the page where I am holding my spouse accountable for the nightmare I lived in for so long as I tried to fix him He is up on Wikipedia like a rock star but is a serious abuser I left all that out and am starting a new life as I must set an example for my son and I want to leave a positive legacy I feel I keep getting rejected My emails Facebook and all was hacked as he had a hacker friend that knew everywhere I went on the computer. I want to be accepted by Wikipedia as it would mean so much to me. I need someone to help me figure out what I am doing wrong or what I can fix. Please don't let Wikipedia hold me accountable for his abuse. He is held as a greatest ever was but I was the woman behind the man. I have tried to make him his best but he has gone the wrong way. I am my own person and need to establish that I was the reason all the songs by him and myself were recorded. I was a good wife and still am of 40 years. It is not my fault he was an abuser and I am lucky to be alive. Please help me to represent Wikipedia with the light that shines bright from my work and career. Is there someone out there to help me. I am disabled so it is hard to type all the time. I thought what I uploaded and wrote was a good representation to make you all proud to have me. Thank you

Please help me with...

Hello, and welcome. I am very sorry to hear you went through that. I am glad you have decided to join Wikipedia. We are a (largely) friendly community working on an amazing project. However, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. All wikipedians must put that first. An encyclopedia is a place where information that has already been published in reliable, independent sources is presented in a neutral way. This is particularly important in areas such as living people where posting new material can cause trouble. That is why we insist that all potentially contentious material be referenced with an inline source. To make sure our information is presented as neutrally as possible, we strongly encourage editors to be very, very cautious when editing on subjects in which they are emotionally involved. A good option for people in this situation is to leave information and reliable sources on the talk page of the article. I strongly suggest you do this in a calm, polite and neutral manner. This will make it more likely you will be heard. Another good suggestion is to edit in other areas to which you have no attachment. This is what I do. I live in Montreal, but my edits mostly involve places I have never been, like Poland, central Asia, India and Australia. This has helped expand me my general culture and interact with wikipedians from all over the World. Good luck and don't hesitate to ask me any questions. June 2015 edit

Please do not add or change content, as you did at American Fool, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 15:06, 14 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Kitty Terry aka Kitty Woodson Terry (2) edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Kitty Terry aka Kitty Woodson Terry (2), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. June 2015 edit

Please do not write or add to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Requirements for a stand alone article edit

Hello, in order for a subject to qualify for a stand alone article there has to be significant notice of the subject by people not connected with the subject. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 21:30, 14 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on Draft:Kitty Terry aka Kitty Woodson Terry (2) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://gdm.glorydazemusic.com/articles.php?article_id=3372. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Did you try Articles for creation help desk already, as recommended above in #Your submission at Articles for creation: Kitty Terry aka Kitty Woodson Terry (2) (July 2)? --Francis Schonken (talk) 06:08, 6 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Another suggestion I see above, in the #Help me! section, is that you would suggest content on talk pages: maybe suggestions left at Talk:George Terry would be a good idea? --Francis Schonken (talk) 06:44, 6 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Created Kitty Woodson Terry as a redirect to the George Terry article (Kitty mentioned with references in that article now) --Francis Schonken (talk) 09:27, 6 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

wikipedia content edit

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. You are free to promote your "big beautiful life " on your own websites, but that is not Wikipedia's purpose. We cover what third party reliable sources have found worthy of covering which means that major criminals will likely get coverage while firefighters, teachers, and great personal mentors generally don't. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 14:46, 15 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
