I've seen your new article, Bonville Courtenay Feud. It's a good start, but some improvements are needed--perhaps see our |guide to writing Wikipedia articles is the clearest of the various introductions. The references need to go in standard form, and links made to other wp articles. Some context is needed --you need to say who was on what side.

More generally, the "hangon" tag is used only is response to a deletion warning, and even by itself it lists an article for speedy deletion; when you're in the middle of an article use {{underconstruction}} DGG (talk) 14:09, 2 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for September 6 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited St Michael and All Angels Church, Polwatte, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Tamil and Sinhala (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Antiochis (daughter of Antiochus the Great) edit

As I mentioned in my comments, I created the page Antiochis (daughter of Antiochus the Great) out of despair, because the interwiki robots were doing stupid things, interwiking a disambiguity page to the page of this princess. There is enough about her in the ancient sources (the Portuguese interwiki is 100% based on Diodorus, that's the way I've been creating articles about historical characters: the first pass is taken from one author, in the second pass I add another author, and so on, eventually finishing with modern authors), but there is much speculation by genealogists, like the unsourced reference to her mother. I think the English wikipedia has been too careless in taking too much from genealogists, I just came across one of those sites that claims that Jesus of Nazareth's father Joseph was the son of Cleopatra of Jerusalem, the daughter of Julius Caesar and Cleopatra. Albmont (talk) 12:52, 18 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • And, BTW, it's ridiculous that Cleopatra redirects to Cleopatra VII; there's not any single ancient author and modern author that numbers her as seven. In William Smith she is Cleopatra 10, in E. R. Bevan she is Cleopatra VI - these artificial numbers are the invention of Wikipedia and should be removed and replaced by the naming convention that the Greeks used for themselves, like A (daughter of B). Robert de Romille by Kildwyke edit

Thank you all for appreciating my hard work on Robert de Romille. It was difficult to get the translation you wished for. The French translator complained the mediaeval French was spelled all wrong in Whitaker's "History and Antiquities of the Deanery of Craven" and was perplexed particularly by "renommes" but decided it was "renowned" Kildwyke (talk) 23:08, 18 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Welcome edit

Hi, Kieranian2001, welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron WikiProject! We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles and content that have been nominated for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, ergo fixable, and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles and content to quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

And once again — Welcome! Northamerica1000(talk) 05:04, 1 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Giant's Quoit edit

Thank you for looking at the new page I created for this project, and it's my first time to edit on wikipedia so it's good to have such clear advice. I've added more references as suggested, and later in the week will see if I can add an image and some further references. There will be new material to add in the winter as the finds from the dig are being detailed. Also in general, more material will arrive over the next 12 months Dominica Williamson (talk) 19:23, 21 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

I moved the article from Sanshen, which is now a redirect. That's why. I need to work on it later; I don't like to create stubs.--Seonookim 04:20, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

Leo I of Cava edit

Dear Kieranian2001, my knowledge of the English language is of school. I apologize.I try to give you some more news' of Leo I.

References: a) Vitae quatuor priorum abbatum cavensium Alferii, Leonis, Petri et Costabilis Hugone Abbot Venusino is a Benedictine lived in the eleventh century that gave us the biography of the first four abbots of the Abbey of Cava. This is a parchment manuscript preserved in the Abbey of Cava. b) Santi. Gli autentici apologeti della Chiesa Joseph Ratzinger is Pope Benedict XVI.

For the biography: Birth Lucca? Death Cava de 'Tirreni, July 12, 1079 Venerated by the Catholic Church Canonization in 1893 by Pope Leo XIII Main sanctuary Abbey SS. Trinity of Cava Recurrence July 12

Lion from Lucca (Lucca, ... - Cava de 'Tirreni, July 12, 1079) is venerated as a saint by the Catholic Church and is remembered as 2nd abbot of the Abbey of Cava. In the early years of his government abbey, Leo, a native of Lucca, he had a hard time. Sant'Alferio Pappacarbone, by virtue of the privileges which had been conferred by the Lombard princes of Salerno, appointed him his successor, in contrast with the tradition that considered the property of the monasteries as owned by the family of the founder. More news you can obtain them from the Italian version of Wikipedia. I entrust to you the task of preparing the page of Leo I. good Work Sincerely Borgosiepi — Preceding unsigned comment added by Borgosiepi (talkcontribs) 14:21, 24 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Daridra yoga (Hindu astrology) edit

I am delighted to meet you. Thanks for reviewing Sankalpa (Hindu thought), in fact this page was already linked to 3 other pages. I am not at all conversant with the intricate and dynamic Wiki-technology. I had recently created Daridra yoga (Hindu astrology) and linked it with Kemadruma yoga (Hindu astrology) and Yoga (Hindu astrology) but the link-up is not appearing. Do set this matter right if you please. This page has yet to be reviewed. Thanks again.Aditya soni (talk) 03:37, 4 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
