Touchy area, gonna get yourself blocked/topic banned

For this edit, people are absolutely touchy about Zoe Quinn, and WP:BLP policy certainly applies. I'd rather you not get blocked or topic banned. Trust me, you don't want to do this. Thanks for the advice. I haven't edited anything. I figured it was a touchy topic, so I thought I'd ask about it first. The BBC article was the first time I'd seen an undeniably reliable source flat-out state that the affairs happened. When I first came across the whole unfortunate #gamergate fiasco several weeks ago, it was unclear to me whether the affairs actually happened or not, and what exactly had been debunked. So I think the article could do some good by clarifying facts in a neutral way. --Khgtcv (talk) 00:52, 13 November 2014 (UTC)

I had an edit conflict there trying to respond to David Eppstein, so I added my response (which could pretty much stand on its own anyway and addresses the very issue you're raising here, but for the article itself) as a new section to replace the old. I also tried to clarify my point, and was careful to only speak in terms of what third-party sources say without passing my own judgment (which honestly seems odd for a talk page but I guess times here have changed) so I don't think there should be any further issue there. Draft for you to review

I didn't know how to upload an image of the cover of the book without breaching copyright. I included as many references as I could, because there is bound to be a deletion attempt. Help! I took your advice from last month, after my edits to astrology were deleted, to set up a page in its own right on 'Secrets of the Last Nazi' (the book). I spent many, many hours over several days putting together a page on 'Secrets of the Last Nazi'. My version had some 106 references! Instead of thanks, I've just got a huge pile of vitriol from some very nasty wiki-people, many of whom are attacking me personally, and a coordinated effort to delete it. Can you help at all? Any suggestions for what I should do? The book very clearly DOES meet wiki's notability criteria for books - it was reviewed in the Sun (you can check that in a library, but the Sun doesn't publish it's reviews online); it featured on a radio bookshow (I've just discovered I do have the recording downloaded - it was a thirteen minute in depth interview - but it's an MP3 file, which can't be uploaded); and there was an article about it 'The Bookseller' magazine, which is accessible but people seem to discount it. Even if people don't believe me, they can now prove that the book meets wikipedia's standards. However, this file is about to be deleted in three days, on 24th September, because I can't prove the copyright owner allows it to be shared (even though they made it openly available to download from their site for seven days after it was broadcast), and I don't know how to contact the broadcaster. Yet more frustrations from the whole wikipedia experience. I notice you've been offline for a while, but any help or suggestions? You are the only wikipedian who has been pleasant to me so far!
