Lefschetz principle edit

Hi, Incidentally, I see from your edits that you are an expert in algebraic geometry. It would be very interesting to have a separate article on Lefschetz principle. Currently it is only a redirect to a more general article on algebraic geometry, please give it some thought if you happen to be knowledgeable in this area. Re: request for unblock edit

A lot of non-Latin names(e.g. User:에멜무지로) existing in wikipedia, I unified all the names, but was blocked indefinite here!--Keyi 01:13, 10 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

The name policy did not say non-Latin names were forbiden.(even on October 2006)--Keyi 01:26, 10 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

There is nothing I can do about this. You will need to ask an administrator -- Gurch (talk) 18:55, 10 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Re: Li edit

The image is a simplified depiction based on an explanation I found in a book regarding calligraphy and brush strokes. The strokes were drawn by me (over long periods of practice, for I myself have the surname of Li) and I believe it is a way in which the signature version of Li can be simply explained. Fang Xi / Fang La edit

Greetings, I see you've moved Fang La to Fang Xi. The corresponding page on Chinese Wikipedia also claims that it's "Fang Xi", but no supporting references are provided. Can you please provide a source to prove that it's really pronounced as "Fang Xi"? If you can't, can you kindly move the page back to Fang La? An editor previously told me that the name is pronounced as "Fang La" according to his/her Cihai. Besides, all the pages of the 108 Water Margin heroes will be affected by this move as well, because on their pages, "Fang La" is used and not "Fang Xi". Can you do me a favour as well by changing all instances of "Fang La" to "Fang Xi" after you've verified that the name is the latter case? Thanks. _LDS (talk) 01:41, 24 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hua-Yi distinction had been renamed by user:Quicktool, which looks like a sockpuppet of some sort, and he had single-handly changed the lead section. Please have a look at Talk:Barbarians in East Asian cultures. Arilang talk 03:29, 31 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
