Could you help me write this article? edit

Hello,

I was wondering if you would be willing to help me write either Seikichi_Iha or Shorin-ryu_Shido-kan. Tkjazzer 21:48, 22 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

The salary and teaching information for Gates might be inconvenient and somewhat embarrassing, but they are both part of the public record and are perfectly valid entries in his biography. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.6.190.21 (talk) 20:58, 13 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

They are not inconvenient, nor are they embarrassing. They are in line with other eminent professors. Eminent professors tend to teach very few classes because they have other priorities, and they tend to be paid highly. The onus is on you to demonstrate why this particular professor, whose salary and teaching commitments are inline with other similarly eminent professor, should have this information on his page.

Other eminent professors do not have their salaries or teaching commitments listed - neither historical nor living ones.Kenton M (talk) 01:47, 14 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

I would suggest that you get busy on that. BTW, they WON'T have their salaries listed unless they taught at a public university. Also, since we are talking Wikipedia, please give REFERENCES for your total BS assertion that "eminent" profs get paid 3X the average salary of the department and only teach every other year. I can assert that they don't with just as much verification and accuracy. I have facts - you have smoke.71.178.166.126 (talk) 02:12, 14 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
You only fact is a simple number. You provide no reason why that number is significant, and your argument that it is "three times" the department average is original research. You are making an emotional appeal about what you think professors ought to be paid. Wikipedia is not for your political opinions. If you can provide ANY source suggesting his compensation is of significant interest, I will cease reverting both of your edits. I am not going to provide you with an exhaustive list of well paid professors, because there is no argument to be had here. Provide a source demonstrating your edits are attributing due weight, or I will continue to revert them. Kenton M (talk) 02:18, 14 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
