NCIS has many faults but would only be evident to anyone working.for say, the DoD.

NOWHERE are CRT monitors used unless the are for SHOW.

NO ONE wears a badge, another BIG no no in the govt especially after 9-11. NO EXCEPTIONS!

NO ONE just logs in to a computer like they do on NCIS; the government uses secure authentication either by using STRONG passwords or CAC cards (which NCIS shows on a consistent basis on their large screen when talking about a military victim or suspect.)

Real-World Security is CERTAINLY lacking but that might slow down the show or make it less glamorous.

The same can be said of TRAVEL; it is a convoluted enterprise in the real world government; you do NOT just say lets go or pack up and RUN!
