I'm a newcomer in terms of editing, as you can see this is my first project. I've been editing it non-stop since it was uploaded and the only real problem I've found is that the major source of information is in spanish and at the time has no english translation. How could I make it verifiable or what other methods could I apply to make sure the article I've included on Cristal Marie has for the time being those references which are necessary? I've asked the website owners of cristalmarie.com and the production team for help concerning this article and they've agreed to post directly from the website a new online blog that will log every single press article with an official english translation. Would this be enough?

All suggestions are welcome. I hope that having the ~blp tag doesn't place this biography on the road to deletion automatically. Could somebody inform me if the ~blp tag means it's already going to be deleted or if it's a notice from which I can keep improving the article without the threat of a time limit? Or does the blp tag inform the bots in a way that establishes a time limit?

The sources that would be then tagged on the article would come mostly from the most important major newspapers of Dominican Republic: Listin Diario, Diario Libre, Hoy, etc. I don't know if wikipedia acknowledges these as verifiable sources, since I don't know how they verify foreign newspaper credibility.

Because this is the biography of a live person and is in no way containing anything libellous, according to the guidelines I've read articles that come from the living person themselves is considered a verifiable and accurate source. Or am I confused on the subject?

Well, suggestions please :)

Some of the references cited in the article Cristal Marie have no english quality equivalent at this moment. The moment english equivalents are found, the articles stated in the article shall be replaced.

Hi Kcsliver! I've moved your notice from the Cristal Marie talk page to here. {{helpme}} templates are supposed to be placed on user talk pages, not on talk pages of actual articles. As for your question, let me get back to you in about 2 or 3 minutes. I'm gonna do some looking around to see what WikiPolocy says about citing foreign language articles. If you have any other questions between now and then, feel free to either ask here or on my talk page. Happy Editing! --omtay38 04:01, 19 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Please, ask as many questions as you need to! That's what I'm here for! The first place to start when looking into citing sources is Wikipedia:Citing sources. This is where I've started, and am also looking around a bit about foreign language articles.
My guess (and it's just a guess) would be that a foreign language citation is much better than no citation at all. So I would say go ahead and leave the information in until we can either find an english source to cite or policy about foreign language articles.
I'll keep looking tonight (and feel free to do so also) but also know that I will place this article on my watchlist and make sure it isn't inadvertently deleted while you're away. This "immediate deletion" paranoia is very common among newcomers to the point that we actually have a policy about it. Actually, if I must say so myself, this is a truly stunning first article! I would never have guessed that it was your first! Congratulations!
So again, i'll keep looking through policy and will keep my eye on the page. Cheers! --omtay38 04:21, 19 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Found it! The policy is listed at WP:RSUE. Basically, it says "use a foreign language source only if you cannot find an english source." That's exactally what you are doing so all should be well. I'll keep the page on my watchlist for a few weeks anyway just to make sure your good faith edits are upheld. Again, if you have any other questions at all about anything, please, let me know! So again, welcome to Wikipedia and happy editing! --omtay38 04:35, 19 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I got your last message as I was posting the one above. I would say be bold and make whatever articles you feel you can accurately create! The worse that'll happen is somebody else will come along and help fix it! --omtay38 04:38, 19 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
HAHA! we keep posting on each other's pages at the same time! I'd say you can just leave the talk page as is. If people bring it up as an issue, then you can cite the policy. But until then, it's probably all alright. --omtay38 04:39, 19 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yup, that's exactly where the blp tag goes. --omtay38 04:55, 19 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
