Speedy deletion nomination of User:Katzeaugen/sandbox edit

Hello Katzeaugen,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged User:Katzeaugen/sandbox for deletion, because it seems to be an advertisement, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Müdigkeit (talk) 20:25, 3 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Dear Muedigkeit,

The article you are referring to concerns a dead person and is supposed to be a historical piece concerning him and his role in the Delhi Mutiny. As there are no other articles on the Internet regarding this person I thought him worthy of a mention and as there are other articles on WIkipedia about historical figures I fail to see why you thought this an advertisement.

If I need to reformat the article then fair enough, but I' would appreciate some guidance.

Thanks Katzeaugen Katzeaugen (talk) 11:08, 8 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello Katzeaugen, just wanted to say this is a great start, so please don't get discouraged. Check out my comments in the Decline box, and with not much work at all they can be cleaned up and this article published. This article would also be lovely with an image (popular depictions from the 19th century are generally far out of copyright by now). Feel free to contact me directly for support, or the Teahouse to speak to a volunteer mentor. MatthewVanitas (talk) 22:27, 16 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Willoughby's campaign medals.jpg edit
