Kari, as it seems you've just now joined wikipedia, allow me to call your attention to wikiepedia's policy on personal attacks. They are strictly prohibited. Don't make them.Timothy Usher 22:45, 12 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Template:The Jewish Book of Why edit

I noticed that you made a new template that uses cite book for The Jewish Book of Why. I am not sure if this is a good idea. There are many Wikipedians who are a bit protective of the Wikipedia:Template namespace and I imagine that there is a good chance it would be deleted if brought up for Wikipedia:Templates for deletion on the ground that having one book template derived from cite book set a bad precedent for thousands of other books to do the same. To avoid any controversy I would recommend that you

  1. move it to a user subpage user:Karimarie/JBookofWhy for example.
  2. subst the template. For example type {{subst:Karimarie/JBookofWhy|23}} and the text will be replaced with the cite book template for page 23.
  3. After subst'ing the templates you already placed ({{subst:The Jewish Book of Why|21}}) nominate the template(s) for deletion, noting that you are the creator.

I hope this is not too burdensome or bureaucratic, if you need any help feel free to ask me on my talk page. Jon513 16:46, 14 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I believe that the problem is that the second : after user is confusing it. i am looking into it. Jon513 17:59, 14 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
no, you are right, it is because it is in a ref tag. I asked on Wikipedia:Village pump (technical) and correctedPidyon HaBen manually. How much trouble is it to cut and paste every time? Jon513 19:22, 14 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain edit

The article on Israel is severely in need of change for the sake of neutrality. Edit the article, if you wish, but do not pretend that it is neutral as it stands. --The preceding unsigned comment was made at 01:01, 8 July 2006 by Smitty Mcgee

3rr edit

The three revert rule is a rule concerning reverting an article, not editing it. If you insist on reverting my revisions, then it is you that is in violation of the policy.Smitty Mcgee 02:41, 8 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Homosexuality edit

Why are you removing the following content from homosexuality?

Male bighorn sheep are divisible into two kinds, the typical males amoung whom homosexual behavior is common and "effiminate sheep" or "behavioral transvestites" which are not known to engage in homosexual behavior. [[1]] [[2]]

Israel edit

Yes, he has 48hrs now as IPs can't be indef blocked. Incidentally I was called an "arab" yesterday when I blocked someone for doing the opposite, so hopefully, I get a "Zionist" tag to balance things out. Thankyou.Blnguyen | rant-line 04:21, 18 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

American Medical Association edit

I saw the warning you posted on User talk:208.250.29.8. The IP address resolves as ama0.ama-assn.org. An editor working from that address has repeatedly tried to usurp Journal of the American Medical Association. It's quite obviously a case of someone at the organization in question trying to own these articles. Rl 18:41, 18 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism tags edit

This is about your use of vandalism tags on Oiboy77's page. Never use those for content disputes. Especially, planting {{blatantvandal}} on Oiboy77 is completely inappropriate, as that one is for "extreme or obscene" vandalism. Compare Template talk:Blatantvandal. I see indeed that Oiboy77 retorted with the same tag on your page, which is also wrong, but unless I'm misreading the histories — please correct me if I'm wrong — you seem to have started this tag war, as well as been more active in keeping it going. If you plan on using tags again, please review their template talkpages first, and especially WP:V, to see what is and isn't vandalism. I hope you will show the good faith of reverting your tags on User talk:Oiboy77. Bishonen | talk 13:52, 19 July 2006 (UTC).Reply

Good time to say hi edit

Hi Karimarie, and thank you for putting a word for me. I guess that makes you an official member of the Cabal. :) ←Humus sapiens ну? 09:04, 20 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Template:Mishneh Torah edit

What is your intention with Template:Mishneh Torah? While the template is very nicely made and very convenient for finding where stuff is in the Mishneh torah I don't see a point to it beyond that. It seem that you intend to make an article for every section of the mishneh torah. I understand the idea of making an article for every tractate (albeit I personally disagree) as there is a lot in a tractate that does not relate directly to the subject of the tractate. However the mishneh torah is to a large extent a basis of halacha and it seem strange to have an article about a book of mishneh torah in addition to the subject itself (especially on temple related topics as there are very few later authorities after Maimonides). See for example how much the reference on Nazirite quote the mishneh torah. I don't think it would make sense to have another article Nazir (Mishneh Torah) that repeats that information. Trish edit

Due to the recent vandalism on Trish Stratus's page I say we request for the page to be semi-protected, this person or persons have been vandalising this page all day and I say we request for it to be semi-protected which means only resigested users or users that have been resigested for 2 weeks can edit Wikipedia:Requests_for_page_protection.
