Association of Black Psychologists edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Association of Black Psychologists, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://spinotew1.commerce.state.il.us/webaddr.nsf/445426ebc0471d11862565ae005b7c72/4494e616a547d59486257051006c44f9?OpenDocument. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 08:15, 1 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

The page was deleted as it appeared to hae been copied from another website. All articles on Wikipedia must be original, that means the wording and format must be the creator's own. There is no reason why the article can't exist but it mustn't be copied from anywhere else. Thanks, Mallanox 23:41, 1 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Flagging Association of Black Psychologists for further review edit

Hello, Karamello24 … I recently encountered the article about Association of Black Psychologists and in my opinion, it either lacks sufficient Attribution that it satisfies the Notability criteria for Organizations and companies, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it violates a copyright.

I am considering tagging Association of Black Psychologists (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) for deletion according to the Deletion policy … I do not have time to examine the article in depth at the moment, and it may improve over time, in which case this warning was premature.

I have created this initial entry on your Talk page because you are either the original author of the article, or else a recent contributor to it; I will leave more detailed information regarding my specific concerns about the article on its Discussion page … please respond either there or on this Talk page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation.

Be sure to read Ownership of articles, and remember that other editors may not share your opinion about the notability of the article's subject.

I do not mean to imply that your contribution is unappreciated … perhaps you should read Your first article … and remember, there was a time when I knew less about how Wikipedia works than you know right now, and I am always available to help you become a more proactive contributor. —Triwbe (talk) 14:29, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I appreciate your comments and that this article has not been prematurely flagged. Now as for Notability...This organization has been around for over 40 years serving the Africa American community and it also has several collegiate Branches at many colleges and University. It is comparable to the American Psychological Association (APA) and several other psychological associations. Lastly there are several other organizations on wikipedia in the same genra (Association of Black Photographers) who have met Nobilitiy. And any assistance in writing this article would be appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karamello24 (talkcontribs) June 3, 2008
Thanks, could you please read the article How to edit a page so that the information you do add is displayed? Some of the references you had put were not visible. I have tidied up a little. --Triwbe (talk) 06:18, 3 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
I agree that this article needs a lot of work to be worthy of inclusion. Happy Editing! — 151.200.237.53 (talk · contribs) 08:25, 3 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Bgclive edit

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

The article Bgclive has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 03:35, 5 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
