Linking edit

Generally, you only want to link to another article once in an article. So in Hells Angels, Bandidos was already linked to earlier, and you don't need to link to it again unless you think it was linked to so far up the page that the reader can't find it. Hannover should only be Wikilinked once, and the subsequent links in the same section should be removed -- and so on. Common English words like witness don't need to be linked because most readers know what a witness is. See Wikipedia:Linking for more detailed help.

And thank you for you contributions to Hells Angels! --Dbratland (talk) 18:00, 2 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Recent deaths edit

Hi, I notice you having been adding lots of entries to Deaths in 2010, which is good. You may not be aware that the consensus is to delete redlink entries that have not become Wikipedia articles after one month. [1] Perhaps you might consider starting a stub article for some of the deceased people that you add, so that the redlink becomes blue? Regards, WWGB (talk) 03:36, 20 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Leo Löwenstein edit

A tag has been placed on Leo Löwenstein requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 14:22, 25 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Roman Bannwart edit

Hello. I found that there are two disambiguating wikilinks in this article. Can you please specify whether Bannwart was born in Gossau SG or Gossau ZH and, if it is known, whether he died in the abbey itself or just in the town of Einsiedeln? See also the article's talk page where a bot noted the inconsistencies. De728631 (talk) 17:00, 25 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Boss-alzeinclan.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Boss-alzeinclan.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 11:56, 26 June 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 11:56, 26 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Ashraf Rammo edit

The article Ashraf Rammo has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Enter CBW, waits for audience applause, not a sausage. 12:49, 27 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Ashraframmo.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Ashraframmo.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.

If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Enter CBW, waits for audience applause, not a sausage. 12:52, 27 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Six Families of Berlin edit

The article Six Families of Berlin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Offensively racist article. Many of the claims are unsourced, while the only references are to German language newspaper articles. The term "Six Families of Berlin" apparently does not exist outside this article -- only 8 Google hits, some possibly to clones or mirrors of this. .

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RolandR (talk) 18:55, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Mahmud al-Zein edit
