Hi Kaliper1,

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Eastern Europe or the Balkans. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Hello @ToBeFree,
Noted and will oblige. Just as a clarification, Anything related to the Russo-Ukranian War or just the Russo-Ukrainian War page? Kaliper1 (talk) 01:19, 17 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Question retracted. Meaning the whole topic concerning the Russo-Ukrainian War.
Thank you have a nice day. Kaliper1 (talk) 01:23, 17 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, it's "broadly construed" even. This means if you're unsure if something is part of the topic, it probably is. Sorry for the inconvenience. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 07:02, 17 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Indonesian Democratic Union Party moved to draftspace and duplicate (Fixed) edit

Draftspace moving edit

An article you recently created, Indonesian Democratic Union Party, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Maliner (talk) 05:22, 21 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hai @Maliner, Sorry to interupt. I think there had been a slight technical issue when you moved it to draft space. Firstly though, I'd like to tell you that in no way or intention that i did this on purpose.
So what I think happened is that, during your moving to draft space, I was in the process of editing said article. Without immediate notification, I submitted my edit. This might explain why there's two articles on this issue. One in Draft space and one still up. I'd follow through but what would be the best course of action here? Kaliper1 (talk) 08:59, 21 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'd reckon on merging the one still up to my draft space (if thats possible). That way I can conserve my efforts easily and without much edit conflicts. Though the final decision rest with you and I'll follow through. Cheers, Kaliper1 (talk) 09:06, 21 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Move page Information edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Indonesian Democratic Union Party. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:44, 22 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hai @Liz. Oh yes I noticed that also. I think what happened is that, during a moving to draft space by Maliner, I was in the process of editing said article. Without immediate notification, I submitted my edit. This might explain why there's two articles on this issue. One in Draft space and one still up. As of now I'm still trying to communicate with Maliner about this. I'd follow through, but with no respose, what would be the best course of action here? Cheers, Kaliper1 (talk) 08:59, 21 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Usually New page patroller wait for 1 hour unless there is inuse tag there on the article. It is your fault that you don't improve the article either in an hour or place the inuse tag over it. We expect a complete article to remain in mainspace. Remember next time, if you are improving your newly created article use inuse tag over it, so that patroller won't get confused. And follow the best practice to improve your articles in draft space till it is ready for main space. Nothing to do here, as your new article has sources now. Or you can ask the admin for history merge if you want. Maliner (talk) 15:44, 23 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Ok, Noted. I'll certainly keep that in mind, thanks for the reply. Kaliper1 (talk) 16:02, 24 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Indonesian Socialist Youth edit

Hello, Kaliper1,

Thank you for creating Indonesian Socialist Youth.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

I found an article at https://www.jstor.org/stable/10.5728/indonesia.92.0019 about the Madiun affair which could be used to improve the article. Also this book https://www.jstor.org/stable/27751583 about the cold war in Indonesia. This book https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/14672710902809351 is the The Anticommunist Killings of 1965–66 and the Role of the Nahdlatul Ulama, despite the name it references 1948 Madiun Affair. These resources are available through the Wikipedia Library https://wikipedialibrary.wmflabs.org/?next_url=/users/my_library/.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|TarnishedPath}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.
