user page as statement of interests

edit

Hi, I wrote my user page to be a statement of my interests as a graduate student studying perception, as a pointer to the kinds of articles that I'm interested in working on or potentially collaborating on. E.g., I am currently working on this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Auditory_scene_analysis, a major rehaul of the current ASA page that currently requires an "expert" (unrelated: am I doing this in the right way?).

Can you please tell me what makes a User page acceptable? Autobiography? Links to the pages on Wikipedia that I'm working on? A specific sentence that says "I work on these kinds of pages/do this kind of editting ... "? Motivation for doing so?

Thanks! Kalekosphone (talk) 14:06, 3 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

To elaborate a little, a user page is a place to write something about yourself as an editor of Wikipedia. Maybe Jusjih can also comment on why they deleted your user page, but I expect the lack of a perceptible connection to Wikipedia played a part in the decision that the content was unsuitable.
