I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Though we all make goofy mistakes, here is what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful.

Happy editing!

Thanks for uploading Image:DarkforceND3.PNG. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 06:58, 10 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image Tagging Image:DhaoslaserToP.gif

edit

This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:DhaoslaserToP.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. The PG Games article you created...

edit

I've noted it with a tag for deletion.

As I've stated in the Talk page for that article, it's not a notable games production house, showing more hits for the Wikipedia article you created than the home site itself when making the most specific search of "Paradise for Great Games" enclosed in quotes. If you have any questions, feel free to contact myself or post on the talk page for the article. Lankybugger 13:03, 22 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

PG Games

edit

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article PG Games, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:PG Games. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Comment in regards to PG Games

edit

With as many people clamouring for deletion as you've got and with as few sources you have for the article (none which are truly notably and one which is criticism), if you'd like the article to remain I'd suggest taking a look at WP:WEB and WP:CORP and finding a criteria which can be fulfilled based on the information you've got. I was willing to hold off on the AfD discussion for now, but others clearly are not. If you get credible sources which verify under WP:WEB or WP:CORP, I'd be very happy to change my position on this article. Until you do so, my own voice in the consensus shall remain Delete, as you've not updated the sources or external links to reflect new information. Lankybugger 12:50, 25 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Johnny1.GIF)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Johnny1.GIF. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Mary Landrieu

edit

Um, what's up with this edit? The claim that brother and sister Mitch and Mary Landrieu are married (!) was not in the edit your summary said you were reverting. It looks like you added it? Mistake, or am I missing something? Puzzled, -- Infrogmation (talk) 00:56, 28 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
