Hey, thanks for helping to keep an eye on that article - I understand we all want it to look fairly different, but hopefully we can contain attempts to delete information or drag it off-topic. Sherurcij (speaker for the dead) 20:58, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Talk:War_of_Heaven#Appeal_for_intervention edit

If it is not too much trouble, I would like you to express your view. Not many people visit the page. Lima (talk) 12:16, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

You're not trying to canvas are you? Those entries are not quite enough to convince me you are, so forget it. However, I will let you know that I put an RfCreli on the talk page to drum up interest so we might want to step away from personally notifying other editors lest it look like canvasing. Padillah (talk) 12:53, 20 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
No, I was not trying to canvas. As you can see from the list you made, I began with the two editors who were already involved, one of whom (as you can see on my Talk page) was until then quite hostile to me. To get more people involved, what could I do - since I did not know of the method that you have kindly used on the article's Talk page - but get some Talk links from my Talk page, starting from the bottom (the most recent)? If you look at what they wrote, you will see that not all of them have always been in agreement with me; but I thought that, in this matter, the more, the better. I felt sure that scarcely anyone would support the claim of the "owner" of the article to control the gateway to editing it. If one of those I contacted is the editor who has since attacked Sherurcij anonymously, I was and am quite unaware of any previous conflict between him and Sherurcij. April 2009 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Names_of_God_in_the_Qur'an, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please be mindful of the three-revert rule edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Names of God in the Qur'an. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. — Kralizec! (talk) 14:31, 5 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi Kabad, it's great that you've promised to stay away from editing the page for a week. Please try to use that time to establish a dialogue with the other user involved in the dispute, on the talkpage. All the best, ~ Riana 14:39, 5 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

About your user page edit

Hi, I saw in this thread on Wikipedia:Administrator's noticeboard that you have some Arabic text on your user page -- which you do. What does it mean? Is it a quotation from a well-known work? (I'm just asking out of curiosity.) -- llywrch (talk) 18:36, 9 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Gibbet of Jesus edit

Some time ago, you participated in Talk at an article which has been variously named Torture stake, Cross or stake as gibbet on which Jesus died, Historical disputes over the shape of the Crucifix, Dispute about the shape of the gibbet of Jesus, Dispute of Jesus' execution method, and Dispute about Jesus' execution method. Editors are considering another name change; I thought you might participate in that discussion.--AuthorityTam (talk) 21:55, 7 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
