Dave Snowden

edit

Hello Juan. I see you don't do a lot of edits and was curious about your interest in Dave Snowden - do you know him personally? Thanks. Jamesinderbyshire (talk) 18:58, 9 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Never met him, but I've heard of him. I do philosophy. BTW, does it matter that I've only done a small number of edits. BTW2, I'm not stalking him with reverting couple of his edits. Just by chance I log on after a while, find your message here, then look at what Dave Snowden account has been doing and two of his edits were not so good. No, of course it doesn't matter, you are welcome to edit in Wikipedia whenever you like. I was just curious as you hadn't edited before and then went straight to a fairly controversial issue to do with Dave Snowden, so it made me wonder if you knew him outside Wikipedia. Are you based in the UK? What sort of philosophy are you engaged in? I don't know a lot of philosophy but enjoy reading it on a layperson-level. Dave Snowden's field, knowledge management, is closer to what I do, but unlike you, I had never heard of him before coming to Wikipedia. Are you interested in British-related articles? You might find Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography interesting. Have a good evening. Jamesinderbyshire (talk) 20:27, 8 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
I'm in the UK now studying but I'm from Mexico, but some years ago now. I study philosophy at Birkbeck College of the University of London. Good to know you. I'm interested in British articles really just because of my residence. JuanJose (talk) 21:33, 20 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Warning

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly, as you are doing at British Isles. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you.Canterbury Tail talk 00:43, 27 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Unreal. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Ham Pastrami (talk) 09:00, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Unreal article

edit

I would appreciate it if you went to the article talk page. There's been a very long discussion about whether or not the info you want to add should be mentioned, and the concensus was that it shouldn't. Eik Corell (talk) 09:03, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

You have been temporarily blocked from editing for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Apart from edit warring, you've made two bad article moves (i.e. renamed those articles to very ill-chosen names). Please do not do that again. Materialscientist (talk) 09:46, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Hey what happened? Ok i moved a couple pages under the influence of a temporary rage, but surely that can be forgiven

Decline reason:

You are also blocked for abusing multiple accounts. decltype (talk) 21:20, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
