Pocumtuck Range

I'm working on an article about the Pocumtuck Range. Do you have any images of Poet's Seat, Sachem head, etc.? or better yet, a shot of the Pocumtuck ridgeline from Deerfield? --Pgagnon999 (talk) 19:42, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Could you post your profile image of Sugarloaf on the Pocumtuck Ridge page? It perfectly illustrates the shape of the mountain as the giant beheaded beaver in legend. I may create a page for Rocky Mountain and Poet's Seat at some point if I have the time, Rocky Mountain because it's a significant mountain in its own right, Poet's Seat because it's a famous tourist destination. Mt. Field and Jefferson

Hi Jeremy, could you double-check that photo of Mount Field? It just seems counterintuitive that you could get such a large, prominent photo of Field from the other end of the Presidential Range. The USGS map ([1]) shows that it just might be possible, but perhaps only if you were using a heavy amount of zoom? The photo's kind of dark, so it's hard to make out compelling details, but it seems much more plausible that the photo was taken directly across Crawford Notch. Ken - I took the photo on August 9th...the time stamps of the versions (a few, but all somewhat dark...I actually have another Field photo that I intend to upload at a later time) are within 2 minutes of hiking from the cairn behind Jefferson. Jrclark (talk) 19:37, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

3RR Violation

Hi Jrclark, although I see that you are struggling with a difficult editor, I would like to remind you that you are about to, or have already, violated WP:3RR. If you continue to have issues, I recommend posting a notice on the administrator's message board; as i seem to recall without digging into this deeper, the user is a sockpuppet of another username who had issues with your Franklin sites links. Sockpuppeting and single purpose edit war accounts are serious violations of Wikipedia policy, so, instead of creating violations yourself, please use the appropriate forum and report the user. Also keep in mind that your inclusion of the Franklin sites material may come into question as WP:Conflict of interest; although I do not have an issue with them personally, others may call you on that technicality. --Pgagnon999 (talk) 01:42, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Heimstern - I must have lost count, my apologies. I was trying to pursue conflict resolution on the Discussion tab, however the other user involved would not agree to a compromise with me or a third party. Without the edit privilege, I do not appear to be able to escalate some other matters? NHguardian posted personal information and may have engaged in sock puppetry, as well as fabricating conversations with people. One such fabricated conversation puts me and said business at legal risk, which is something that should not take place on Wikipedia. Please advise, can provide details an links if necessary. Clearly trying to discuss a compromise or resolution with NHguardian is only bringing more grief, would like to turn this over to administrators so that it stops and I can go back to contributing. In addition to the sock puppet charges above, it appears NHguardian may have continued to edit the article as 71.181.48.130 after the 3RR suspension. I don't think I'm able to request an IP check while I'm suspended? Please advise. Jrclark (talk) 22:36, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Jrclark, the revert that touched off your last edit war bout with Nhguardian appears to be your reversion of my compromise attempt. I am beginning to wonder if there is a grain of truth in Nhguardian's claims of WP:Conflict of interest, as inappropriately as he has dealt with it.--Pgagnon999 (talk) 01:08, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Pgagnon999, I did not intend to change or modify your compromise - perhaps I misunderstood it. I think we have the same stance on the matter, which is to let WikiProject Ski discuss this matter and make a judgement for all ski areas, not just Berkshire East. I have worked in the ski industry, including for Berkshire East (but under previous ownership), but I am not on their payroll. If you look at my Contributions list, I have created and added/editted dozens of ski area articles and would have reacted the same way. Also, in regard to a note you posted elsewhere, I just want to emphasize that I have not been partaking in sockpuppeting. I'm sorry you were dragged into this mess - again, I'm not here to participate in petty arguments, but rather to contribute and make sure Wikipedia is robust, accurate, and consistent. This has gone beyond my ability to sort it out. Although I am inclined to find greater fault with Nhguardian because his account seems single purpose created specifically to edit war with you, the reciprocal edit warring on your part has not helped matters. Technically, the Franklin sites links are indeed WP:COI as I'm sure you know, so, although Nhguardian's methods are totally inappropriate, there may be a grain of legitimacy to his complaints. At this point, I can no longer tell who is socking and who is not; it's a freeforall out there. If I have mistakenly mischaracterized you in that light, my apologies. I've posted the whole ball of wax to the Wiki amin incicent board; I'm sure they will have better luck straightening it all out. I'm sorry I didn't reply to your concerns. Shortly after I blocked you, real life got very busy and I wasn't able to be on Wikipedia for a bit. Waterville Valley

Hi Jr, Do you have access to information about Waterville Valley Resort? A week or so ago, the article (which is a stub), got proposed for deletion. I removed the tag and stated that it's one of the most notable ski resorts in New Hampshire and therefore the entire northeastern U.S., but I don't have the means to write anything about it.
