Joshua, I am so glad that someone out there got all the NFTY and URJ Camp stuff going. I just spent a few hours on the NFTY site expanding it and a little bit here and there on other Reform pages. They could use a lot of attention.

I e-mailed a number of people tonight: several member of the current NFTY Board, Scott Hertz, and several "leadership" adults in NFTY. (The leadership are mostly my friends and colleagues. Others are former staff at Greene Family Camp where I worked). I asked them to start looking into expanding the Reform Wiki pages - especially camps, regions, etc.

I think it'd be a great project for Communications VPs and others around North America to tackle. They too can learn the soul-sucking life-affirming power of editing Wikipedia articles. I hope we'll be able to work together to create a better Reform presence on Wikipedia.

I agree that this looks like a good project for communication VPs. I bet a single e-mail on the CVP network system (assuming there is one) would get alot of these articles edited up pretty quickly. Of course, knowing the exuberance with which NFTYites will talk about the organization, the pages have to be eyed carefully for information disclosure that may be inappropriate - names of regional executives, for example. -Joshuapaquin 21:09, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

There is no doubt in my mind that simply getting the word out will get full-fledged articles in a short amount of time, but I've learned in my years that Jewish youth aren't the most technologically literate bunch. If someone kept an eye on formatting, NPOV and other various aspects this would be a good idea, but I've tried wikis and found the people who have the most information to share are the ones who don't see the 'edit this page' tab at the top of the screen. Sadly, it's 'street smarts' to get going on here, the 'book smarts' is merely content. --Hersch 12:23, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
