Speedy deletion of The Giving Tree Band

A tag has been placed on The Giving Tree Band requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Confusing

i would appreciate your help. also, dont i have enough references by now to make the entry notable and therefore no longer valid for speedy deletion. this only the second page i have created, so i dont know the all ropes yet. thanks for the help. ^{joshuafitzgerald}

OK looks like (I don't know how) you created it in userspace and again in article space. The article space one was deleted, as a non notable band, that's not saying the band isn't notable, just that you hadn't asserted it's notability or reason why it should have an encyclopedic entry. Also the manner it is presented is more like a myspace page than and encyclopedic entry. Have a look at other bands and see how their articles are done. If you wish I will leave this article User talk:Joshfitzgerald/The Andreas Kapsalis Trio here so you can work on it, try to get it to meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines etc and then maybe look to putting it back in article space later on. Trio

The article looked like the band might meet notability criteria, I'm not sure... but it was just too damn promotional in tone. Write something neutral. Don't write about how great they are; write about what they do.

Hi there! Looks like you figured out how to move the page back to mainspace from my user space, or got an admin to help, I'm not really sure what the rules are for that sort of thing. I did some work on the neutral point of view issue and took out some of the bits that seemed overly promotional, and I think it was ready to be pushed back to mainspace anyway but I was slow getting around to it.
