www.jpsaudiohandbook.com edit

Though your blog looks good and has a chance of becoming a widely-used resource for audio knowledge, it doesn't meet Wiki standards for external links. Check out WP:EL... it mentions blogs and personal web pages as unsuitable except if "written by a recognized authority." Good luck with your site! Binksternet (talk) 05:54, 5 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
My apologies first of all I didn't read the guidelines on external links, however I believe the edit I made on digital recording is still valid. At present it has been reverted to the way it was before

The ADC converts this signal to a series of binary numbers. The count of the numbers produced per second is called the sample rate.

This is inaccurate, the samplerate of an audio sample is the number of samples per second to be converted to a binary figure, not the number of bits per second (this is the bitrate). At present I feel the statement is misleading and needs editing.
I tried to upload a diagram that makes this clearer [1] however as a new user I am unable to upload images. If you or anyone else wish to use this image here you have my full permission. Jonpitans (talk) 11:25, 5 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yes, the statement you quoted isn't as clear as it can be. I'll take a look at it and see if I can put it into better words.
I noticed you make sample rate into one word when it is actually two. This error is on your image as well. Also, your image is not quite as clear as the one at the top of the Sampling rate page. I wouldn't upload it yet as it needs improvement. Binksternet (talk) 14:54, 5 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
