Born: John Almodovar in Staten Island , New York . He graduated Brookdale Community College with an associate in Communications. John later went on to Rider University for his BA. John was 90 credits in but fell under a major case of depression which stopped him from completing school. In 2002 he enrolled at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting and received a certificate in Broadcasting. Later he went on to intern at NEWS 12 New Jersey .

  VOCAL TRAINING:
For 3 years John worked with Melody Yellon at the Music Factory Learning Center in East Brunswick , NJ to perfect his vocal abilities. Within that point in time, John learned that his vocal idol former Skid Row front man Sebastian Bach was giving vocal lessons. John jumped at the idea and stated to train with him in 1997.

Through out High School, John wanted to start a band. Through a mutual friend, John’s music creativity would change and find its way through guitarist Tim Papp. Tim’s original sound and guitar playing is what sparked John’s original ideas. Both John and Tim decided to form a band. After a long search, Tim suggested a drummer. Joe Deo a High School friend of Tim and John’s was recruited. The band just needed a bass player. Stan Pulaski came in to fill the spot. The new band had started writing and demo songs.
The band just needed a name. Tim suggested “Sub-Zero” not really hearing Tim, John responded, “Sub-Degree sounds good” Tim liked the name and Sub-Degree was officially born.
After joining cover band F-This, John and long time friend Mario Piscorz decided to form an original band. With the help of Bobby Kasolas on guitar BeWild was formed.
Currently John is working with Sub-Degree on an album featuring material slated for their first album and bonus material which was suppose to be on their second album. He is also working on solo material and new music with Tim Papp.
