Foreign Objects. edit

Hi John. First off, I'm making two assumptions here - that you're a fairly new editor, and that you are the primary (perhaps sole) contributor to the newer sections of the Foreign Objects article. It is not acceptable to simply overwrite an existing article with information about an unrelated entity. If you wish to create an article about the other FO, you will have to start a new article with an appropriate title. Also, were the added sections to be made into a standalone article, there would be several issues with sources, trivia, notability and overall tone and style. It will be easy to grab the former text by opening a previous version of the Foreign Objects article via the "history" option, then opening the page as if for editing, and then copying any required text before closing the page without saving an edit. Please let me know if you have any questions, and what name you feel might be appropriate for the new page. Thanks, Deiz talk 15:13, 17 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Diez. Please advise on what I need to do in order to make the entry about Foreign Objects in Wikipedia that I provided and that has been taken off. Addressing your specific concerns: (1) how do I create an article about the FO which has been deleted from Wikipedia? (2) What are the specific issues you mention with sources, trivia, notability, overall tone and style that you have with the entry I provided? Looking forward to your guidance so that I can contribute this article, John B.

Hello. It's Deiz, not Diez. I have replied here. ~a (usertalkcontribs) 20:43, 18 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
It is indeed Deiz, not Diez or DIEZ.. Don't worry, you're not the first to start babbling in Spanish while trying to spell my name... Looks like you've got a good start thanks to Arichnad, follow the steps as outlined on the assistance page. Deiz talk 23:25, 18 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

For more information about how to write citations, see Wikipedia:Citing sources. User:Dorftrottel 12:39, February 19, 2008

See Help:Moving a page. You can technically do it, and I encourage you to try it. After all, everything can be cleaned up. However, I can do it for you if you're totally unsure (the necessary moves are outlined by me at the assistance request page). At any rate, the first thing is to create the new article at Foreign Objects (Massachusetts band). (I trust you have made yourself familiar with the requirements of WP:MUSIC and have some reliable sources.) Just click the red link and edit away. User:Dorftroffel 04:17, February 22, 2008
