HAMADY BROS entry on Wikipedia

Dear Joaquin, first of all, thank you very much for posting and monitoring Wikipedia entries. Like the rest of the world, I use this resource daily!! There is, however, a Wikipedia entry that concerns our family directly and it is the 'Hamady Bros' entry. Unfortunately, there is an error in the current posting and I was wondering if we might be able to work together to correct it. My father, Robert Hamady, is still alive and was the last president of Hamady Bros. He has asked me to right this situation for him and for the family. Up until 1974, our family owned the business and know the history and facts exactly. After 1974, our family was no longer involved and, hence, the facts after this do not concern us. I have tried to replace the current entry for Hamady Bros. with one written by my father (SEE DIRECTLY BELOW) but the entry keeps changing back to the current one.

Hamady Bros. was a supermarket chain centered in Flint, Michigan. The chain was founded by Michael Hamady and his cousin, Kamol Hamady, Druze immigrants from Lebanon. The first store in 1911 was a small space across from the Buick factory with only Kellogg´s Corn Flakes on its shelf. Under the leadership of Michael, followed by his son, Robert; his grandnephew, Jack; and finally, his grandson, Robert Lee, the company grew to 34 supermarkets in Eastern Michigan with sales of $100,000,000. In 1974, the company was sold to Durant Enterprises headed by Mr. Alex Dandy. By 1991, the company was bankrupt and liquidated, and Alex Dandy was in jail for tax evasion and fraud. Hamady Bros. is remembered through its philanthropy - Michael Hamady School, Hamady House for Stepping Stone Girls, and the Hamady Health Sciences Library. The company is also remembered for sending truckloads of food to the strikers in the famous 1937 sit-down strike of Flint´s Fisher Body plant that led to the recognition of the U.A.W. A giant ‘Hamady Bros.´ store sign survives in Flint’s Sloan Museum in an exhibit titled, ¨Flint and the American Dream.”
