Hi! Regarding your message on my talkpage, I understand your frustration regarding copyright rights. Although the image is in your personal collection and it is extremely old and possibly unique; it isn't in the public domain unless it was previously published prior to 1923. If it was just taken by an amateur photographer and disseminated between a few friends personally, and it was never published before 1923, we can't accept it here. Wikipedia only accepts material that is without copyright unless it meets these stringent criteria.

I think at this point the only hope of having the file stay here is proving that it was published early on. If you still have access to the card, could you look on the backside and see if there are any identifying marks that could hint at an early publication? Such as the photographer/studio name or any other similar details. These details are needed to prove publication of an image such as this. ThemFromSpace 07:39, 26 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi, regarding this photo, do you know who the photographer was? If so, as it is an unpublished work, its copyright expires 70 years after the death of the photographer, meaning that if the photographer died in 1943 or earlier, it's public domain. --B (talk) 23:51, 6 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
