She Builds Quick Machines edit

Some copyrighted images can be used under Wikipedia's policy on how to use non-free media. Low-resolution (usually 300px wide or less) screenshots of music videos are usually permitted under the policy. Make sure to indicate the source of the image, the copyright holder (probably the band's label), and a fair use rationale on the image's description page. For an example of how it might look, see Image:Heyyapolaroid.jpg. 17Drew 05:52, 16 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

There doesn't need to be a link to the source. For example, it's possible to take a screenshot of a Youtube video, but the video shouldn't be linked to if it's copyright infringement. The important thing is simply to say the video it comes from and the copyright holder of the video. Most video programs, such as Windows Media Player, do not allow you to take screenshots to prevent copyright infringement. A few places where you might be able to get screenshots would be Youtube, Quicktime, or iTunes. 17Drew 05:01, 17 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Elizabethtown edit

I restored the deleted image that was originally there and added a fair use rationale and source for the image, while also reducing it in size. This should prevent the image from being deleted again. If you are interested in working on film-related articles on Wikipedia, consider joining the WikiProject Films. Within the project is information about how to better improve film-related articles, multiple editors who can assess you, and thousands of film articles that you can help with (if you only want to help with a couple, that's fine too!). If you ever need any more help, let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Happy editing! --Nehrams2020 (talk) 00:21, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
