Your edit to Political correctness edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the external links you added to the page Political correctness do not comply with our guidelines for external links. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. This applies as well to your additions to Brown University, but the links at Almagest, Euclid, Proclus, and Ptolemy appear to be most valuable. Even though the material is also available through Google Books in at least one case, your TeX transcriptions improve the PDFs at your website. Thank you for those, and I hope you will contribute in that same spirit to the content of Wikipedia articles, not only to the lists of links.

If you disagree about the Brown University material, there is a Talk:Brown University page where this can be politely discussed. Namas Te also.

External links edit

Please do not add advertising or inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.
