Welcome! edit

I read your comment. I have pulled down the guidelines and let's just say I have tried to follow them as they are written. Again, you must be correct - I don't seem to understand them well enough. I agree with you. Trying to develop a new Article to give the history of research performed with NASA on ceramic compounds for heat control is not in the cards with Wikipedia at this time. Although from the NASA references you did receive from me, you now know that, "yes" a group has worked with NASA and that "yes" the ceramic research did produce significant progress in blocking heat load and conduction. Under the Article title "Insulative Ceramic coatings" it clearly states that no one has ever worked with NASA and that no research was ever performed to prove effectiveness. This is not correct at all, and I simply felt that Wikipedia ( as a source of truth of information) would want to know this. All I have seemed to accomplish was to create a negative effect on myself and these references showing the truth about ceramic research and results.

I continue to do research on ceramic compounds which started with NASA and have developed extreme heat insulation abilities in a coating sprayed over 1000F pipes and have already pushed pass limits previously thought not possible. These results are being realized in the market place which is the most important point.

I will say this has been as exercise to organize the information and references in a better presentation about which I appreciate.

We seem to be having a problem separating an earlier edit comments concerning the site "Insulative Ceramic coatings" where I had made some comments and have decided it is not worth the effort so have discontinued any further approach to any edit for this site.

I have written an article for a new site under "Insulation Ceramic Blended Coatings" which is constantly being confused with the first comments I had on the other site under edits.

Comments are coming back to me that the site I wrote on Insulation Ceramic Blended Coatings is too short (it is longer than most I see), that it violates copy write which is a group connected with this subject and advertising because of a name listed for a product. This product name is from NASA and any time it is mentioned is from the third party testing groups.

Please only consider the Insulation Ceramic Blend Coatings article which is referenced by all third party agencies.

Hi. I think there is a bigger issue here, which is that you don't seem to understand what the Wikipedia project is about or how it works. Maybe you have not read the guidelines, or maybe you just haven't understood them. It is pointless creating articles that don't conform to the guidelines as they are likely to be deleted, and it must be very dispiriting for you, so it does seem sensible for you to stop contributing, at least until you have grasped the basics. You can always come back later. Deb (talk) 14:57, 21 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

No connection. I will follow your guidelines.

November 2016 edit

  Hello, I'm Acroterion. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Thermal insulation have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Acroterion,

I appreciate your comments. Let me explain my post: 1. The product name on one post (Insulative Coatings) is SUPER THERM which is a Trade Marked product that is has references to be effective as advertised and the author of tis initial comment wrote remarks about another company or product called the same and is very harmful to this product. The comment had to be made to correct the public's view of the other SUPER THERM product.

2. Another comment was to fill in the information about "Ceramic Coatings" and if they were effective, if anyone or company had ever had any connection to NASA. The answer is yes. This must be corrected about the connection with NASA, but there is new information that must be related about Ceramic coatings and their success in testing, field studies and approvals. This is to continue the education on the subject of Ceramic Coatings.

If the information presently posted is not edited for correction, the public has the wrong idea and is kept in the dark on the current technology and performances. This all started with NASA's help and is verified.

Let me know how to proceed if you do not want these comments corrected, but setting up another post to get this information out to the public.

thank you.

Jospeh

It's one thing to make corrections, it's another to insert a marketing tag in favor of a product. Please pare the content down to a bare minimum, and please avoid importing an off-wiki branding dispute into the article. It would be best if all trade names were removed and the article kept to a factual discussion of generic concepts. Please also plainly declare your connection to the product you've discussed (here is fine) and please read WP:COI for best practices when editing with a conflict of interest. You aren't prohibited from editing under such circumstances, but your connection should be transparent. Acroterion (talk) 22:39, 6 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

I would love it if you would remove the brand name from this post. I have no time to have disputes with anyone on their posts, but this person did post brand names where is harmful.

I will work on the paring and re-post. I had to address the comment that no one had ever worked with NASA. Then I wanted to show the testing and results of a "ceramic coating" to forward the developments about ceramic coatings that the previous author had discounted. I just think the public should know that all the negative comments made about ceramic coatings and none have been tested and confirmed is totally wrong. I simply posted the testing results. I will look over it again and repost, but it is testing and results to show "ceramic insulate coatings do work and are being used.

Thanks Joseph

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Jepritchett. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Acroterion (talk) 20:15, 6 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Homework edit

Hi, I saw this in your [ceramic blended coatings] edit:

Huon, I saw the points above that you made on why you deleted page on Insulation Ceramic Blended Coatings. I will address the issues as follows: Advertising--- This is not advertising. The references given are confirmed and copies can be send to you for review if needed. The NASA article expressly in their conference information presented the new technology of super therm that they rolled out in 1995. All other references to this new technology is verified third party and can be sent for review. All is third party and certified. As to copyright violation, in checking on the site given: www.stuttoncorp.com/test_list.pdf and others, this is parties associated with the private company that NASA assigned the product and it not copy right infringement. Again, this is verified and if you need a copy, it can be supplied. I need your comments back as this is work that is not copyrighted, it is not advertising ( all third party contributions) and all can be verified. JE PRITCHETT
