Image copyright problem with Image:Tom Korbee photo blue shirt.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Tom Korbee photo blue shirt.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 15:52, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Tom Korbee edit

Mr. Korbee or his representative would need to email our permissions at permissions-en@wikimedia.org. This permission would release his biography page under free content, he would no longer hold the copyright. Hope this helps. Keegantalk 06:32, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your moving of the article "Jennifer Peterson-Hind" to "Jennifer Korbee" edit

Wikipedia rules mandate that you provide sources for all major edits, especially name changes. All sources must be reputable. Please do not redo any changes to "Jennifer Peterson-Hind" without first discussing on discuss page. Such changes violate Wikipedia's 3RR rule and you may be subject to blocking.

"Peterson-Hind" is much more prevalent than "Korbee", and there is nothing to indicate that she has changed names after getting married. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joseph123454321 (talkcontribs) 21:33, 17 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Jenn PH/Korbee edit

www.jennkorbee.com - many parts of the site still say "Peterson-Hind" (i.e. the page title, the page is redirected to www.jenniferpetersonhind.com, etc.). So which one is it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joseph123454321 (talkcontribs) 21:46, 17 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image permission problem with Image:Jenn Korbee Photo by TCKPHOTO.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Jenn Korbee Photo by TCKPHOTO.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 08:35, 30 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Image permission problem with Image:Jenn Korbee Photo by TCKPHOTO.jpg edit

I'm sorry that the permission isn't "proper," but Tom Korbee, who owns TCKPHOTO, sent me a message asking me to put this photo of Jennifer Korbee up. I am unsure how to note the fact that permission was given to me by the photographer himself. If you could please let me know how, I will happily change the lisence on the page to avoid deletion. JennFan24 (talk) 15:36, 30 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

What you need is to get Tom Korbee to send an email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org as above specifically noting that this image is his and that the image is released under the Gnu Free Documentation Licence. one of the volunteers will then tag the image appropriately. Please note that if the email is sent after the image is deleted, it can easily be restored by any Administrator and marked as "permission received. - Peripitus (Talk) 23:58, 30 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Jennifer Korbee 6 09.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Jennifer Korbee 6 09.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 00:06, 13 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

File:Jennifer Korbee 6 09.jpg edit

Hi, apparently was no permission received since June 2009 so I nominated the file for deletion. Regards Hekerui (talk) 23:26, 26 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I found no permission OTRS link on the image page and the administrator who deleted the image didn't either. If you think there was permission you can ask the deleting administrator to restore the image (images are not permanently deleted, just hidden from view for users when they are not found to be properly licensed). Hekerui (talk) 22:22, 31 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
You can find that out by clicking on File:Jennifer Korbee 6 09.jpg, where an explanation is posted. The admin was User:Peripitus. Hekerui (talk) 23:00, 31 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
JennFan24, I have searched and can see no record of an email received by OTRS regarding this image, or any other image of Jennifer Korbee. If you have that email can you please forward it to the permision-en at wikimedia.org address listed above and drop a note on my talk page when done. - Peripitus (Talk) 01:30, 2 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
I have forwarded the e-mail that I received today from the photographer. I hope this clears up any future issues regarding photos. JennFan24 (talk) 02:03, 5 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Seeing that the page of this file now reads that an e-mail was received, but doesn't have adequate permission for me to upload the photo, what do I need to do in order for the photo to remain on the site? This has become a very frustrating situation that has gone on for at least a few years now; it has been an ongoing ordeal between the photographer and me, and it is quite an inconvenience to continually bother him when he has sent his permission before. JennFan24 (talk) 16:04, 6 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Once the correct permission has been received, the image will simply be undeleted. OTRS has received and email and, as the release was not sufficient, a response has been sent. I understand that this process is frustrating but we need to be clear that the copyright owner has released the image under a free licence, often when the owner is not aware of the implications of free licencing. - Peripitus (Talk) 03:14, 7 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
