Welcome! edit

Hello, Jelani Caine, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was The Richardsons Movie, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome!  A S U K I T E  18:29, 26 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

The Richardsons Movie moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, The Richardsons Movie, is not suitable as written to remain published. It has no supporting references that confirm the film itself, not just the filmmaker. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. • Gene93k (talk) 02:02, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

May 2021 edit

Hello. Your edits to The Richardsons have been reverted. The best advice for writing about yourself or your work is just don't do it. Again, please see Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline. Wikipedia is not a platform for self promotion. • Gene93k (talk) 02:30, 28 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Welcome edit

Hi! I saw that you've made some edits on what looks to be an animated show that you've created, as well as a movie you'd like to make. I wanted to give you some information about why the content keeps getting removed.

The basic reason is that Wikipedia can only have articles about stuff that has been written about a lot in newspapers, books, or has been talked about on TV shows like the news. I don't see where this has happened yet for your show and movie. This doesn't mean that your show is bad, just that it's too early. I would wait on this until there is more coverage and let someone else write about it.

I also wanted to warn you about putting out a lot of information about yourself on the Internet. Most of the people out there are good people, but there are still some people out there who might not be so nice. We have a page about editing on Wikipedia here with some Internet safety tips.

I didn't want you to get upset or discouraged - none of this is meant to make you feel bad! Wikipedia can be a strange place to get used to and there are a lot of rules that take some time to learn, especially because they aren't always immediately visible. • Also, you may find this interesting! It's about Wikipedia, editing, and the autistic spectrum - it can give you some good tips and tricks. It's meant to be a nice way for editors (whether on the spectrum or not) to learn and grow together. You may also want to read these training guides. They're written for college students, but there's some good advice in them in general. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 16:28, 31 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of The Richardsons Movie edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Richardsons Movie requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Richardsons Movie. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. • Gene93k (talk) 02:38, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Ginger (2021 film) edit

The article Ginger (2021 film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non notable future film, fails WP:NFF. Delete or draft until release and then notability can be determined.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
