Re: HP-35 & Browning Hi-Power

I don't think anyone looking for the gun is going to search for "HP-35".

Well, I can name at least one person: myself. I searched for "HP-35" trying to understand a reference in a novel I was reading. Although "Hi-Power" is indeed the most commonly used name, people do indeed use the name "HP-35" without elaboration, e.g. the start of this thread.

A lot of my Wikipedia editing is of the "scratch my itch" variety: when I look for something and don't find it, and then I go on to find it through a wider search, I bring what I learned back to Wikipedia. This edit was one such.

Er... there's no one to talk to there. The talk page was last edited in 2009, and the article's last edit of any substance was in 2012. I wanted to ask *you* about *your* reasons for reverting, and I have no reason to believe you'd ever see anything I wrote on the talk page. That's what I usually do when a disagreement comes up, to see if there's a simple on-on-one resolution (e.g. one person wasn't aware of something important) before trying to recruit a jury. 71.41.210.146 (talk) 00:09, 13 March 2014 (UTC)

It is safe to assume that a number of people have the article talk page in their watchlist. Certainly anyone who edited the article will (certainly I do), unless they don't care, in which you won't hear from them about it even if you put messages on their talk page. Perhaps no one else will add to the discussion, but if we only talk about it here, it's certain that no one else will.
