I teach in a high school, and I have 19 students engaging in a Wikipedia project. These accounts are not sock-puppets, they are just inexperienced. Jeff.zimmm (talk) 19:23, 19 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

You might find Wikipedia:School and university projects helpful. --jpgordon::==( o ) 19:26, 19 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
I have been reading that, and I have also been reading Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors. I just want to point out that all of this seems to have been caused by the misbehavior of one of the groups of students--NOT simply because of the fact that 19 accounts share one IP address. In fact, the materials strongly recommend that each editor have a unique account. The problem is that, in one group of three student, one of them was reposting changes after they were deleted. Hi Jeff. I'm the admin that blocked your class accounts. I'm okay with unblocking all of them again, so you all can get on with your project. First, though, can you email me at oversight-en-wp wikipedia.org - mark it for my attention? There are just some privacy-related things I'd like to quickly go over with you. Once we have that sorted, we can take things from there - Alison 21:55, 19 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi Alison. Thanks for all your help. I sent that e-mail a while ago. Subject is Att: Alison Re: School project. Jeff.zimmm (talk) 23:15, 19 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jeff, nice to get in touch with you here now. Ok, I've checked through the queues here and can't find your message at all. Can you possibly register an email address with your Wikipedia account here - click Special:Preferences and fill it in? Then send me a message on here. Once we're in touch over email, I can explain in more detail. Sorry about all the hassle this is causing. I will get you guys up and running really soon - I just want to put some things in place, is all, to ensure this is a success for you. Unfortunately, there's a whole slew of reasons as to why I can't post my own email address here - Alison 23:40, 19 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Done! Jeff.zimmm (talk) 00:01, 20 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
