License tagging for Image:Bvks.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Bvks.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 02:04, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

BKVS Image edit

Hare Krishna. I noticed the image you used on the BKVS article is very dark. I enchanced the colour on my computer, making the image much clearer, however due to the licence you have selected for the image, I am not allowed to upload the enchanced version. Would you be interested in uploading this image yourself? It would make a significant difference to the article, even though it's just a small image on the page. Please let me know, perhaps I can email it to you. Ys Chopper Dave 07:55, 10 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hare Krishna. Thankyou prabhu, for this favor. Please email the picture to jaimin.barot@gmail.com . I did notice that I was thinking of uploading a different pic altogether. YS Jbarot 23:35, 10 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Pardon me for making an error edit

I just noticed your comment regarding an error I made in deleting a comment about Bhagvata Purana, 1.3.26 avatars. You are correct that my deletion of that was an error. In looking at the edit history I see that the edit was accidental due to reversions of vandalism by someone else, and I got that material mixed in by accident. You are quite right that all of chapter 3 deals with various other avatars. Very sorry you were inconvenienced, I shall strive to be more careful. The Vishnu page has been subject to heavy vandalism by IP users. Buddhipriya 02:04, 28 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Bhakti Vikasa Swami edit

An editor has nominated Bhakti Vikasa Swami, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bhakti Vikasa Swami and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 08:59, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

The file File:Bhakti Vikasa Swami (6 January 2006).jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Was used in a deleted article for a non-notable person and now doesn't serve much value. Also contains a clause saying "This file may not be edited by any means" which is incompatible with the free licenses that are listed.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
