Mariah Carey albums discography

I'd like to know your opinion to this matter! [1]. Thanks! Reidlos (talk) 13:58, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

Quick reminder

I will post reviews on my personal home-page but i'll notify you when i do. Also have some interesting news about Mariah Carey that i'll share with you when im off my wiki break. =) regards, – Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:47, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

Pop 100

Thanks, i'm glad someone noticed it! Yeah, do that, I wish i had a .biz subscription, but sadly I don't. But that would be great if the P100 was indeed back in action. Candyo32 (talk) 17:03, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

Mimi news

hey jay, i told you i had some new news to share well here it is! Jump Smokers have confirmed that their dance remixes of MOAIA will be released here though its not a good enough source to create an article for. HMV told me that this year on June 28, 2010 there will a Mariah Carey remix album available and in time for xmas they're expecting a new studio album, xmas album and studio/xmas album boxset thingy! =P Lil-unique1 (talk) 17:53, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

No problems. though treat everything is cautionary because we all know what happened with Angels Advocate. The problem is she might have left it too late like "Angels Cry" had moderate success but she really needed another single in the UK (we've only had two). and to be fair i didnt like the jump smokers mix of "Hate U". so im not that excited. The new studio album sounds good if Jermain Dupri and Bryan Michael Cox have worked on it. "I want to Know what love is" and "angels cry" are my favourite MOAIA songs but she does need to try something. im not sure what direction her new album could take (she's done the R&B/Adult Contemporary thing to death with E=MC2, Emanicipation of Mimi and MOAIA) so... who knows. tragically i smell another flop =( btw... did you every hear "imperfect"? its really cool. =P Lil-unique1 (talk) 18:35, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
Hmmm... yeah i think they've got the right date just the wrong release. the original plan according to HMV staff was that both AA and MOAIA remix were being released together now that one is cancelled and reports are that the other is being release. So i'm not sure. i guess we'll have to wait and see... =) Lil-unique1 (talk) 21:47, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

Ok this news knocked me sideways a little. According to showbizz411 which is reasonably credible (they were amongst first to preview I Look to You) Mariah Carey's next album is indeed a christmas album but its going to be live and there's zero hip-hop. Jermaine Dupri and Randy Jackson appear to be spear heading the project. Whatcha think? Lil-unique1 (talk) 00:28, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

References

Not everything has references and the characters didn't during the first season or even halfway through season 2. Lillypad2 (talk) 02:50, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Also why are you putting episode list for the characters of this show? It's not true that other shows do this. 90210 is the only show that has this and it's not necessary. Not to mention it looks messy and it's too long after two seasons. Once we've finished with a third season, it will be very messy looking and even longer. Eventually it'll be won't be anymore room to inlcude future characters.

According to most websites, including wikipedia, a character can only be recurring if they're in five or six episodes, depending on the website. Lillypad2 (talk) 02:55, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

It's not what I think, concerning recurring characters, it's what I know, for a fact, even on this site.

As for the characters' episode list, I checked and saw your name. If it's not you, then why did I see your name? Lillypad2 (talk) 18:38, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

Re: One Tree Hill

lol, sorry about that, Jayy. As the independent articles never should've been created, I didn't really see it as my duty to preserve their content. I apologize if I caused any offense. Info is still available on the One Tree Hill page. Also, I've noticed that other "Lists of..." articles generally do have brief descriptions, even when some of the characters at one point had their own pages (like this one and this one), so perhaps that should've been the case with the OTH article.

Just to let you know, I'm planning on redirecting the others soon (Nathan, et al) unless notability is established. As a courtesy, I wanted to give editors like yourself more time with those ones. Again, sorry if I caused any offense. -- James26 (talk) 23:23, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

One more thing -- if you support the redirects, maybe you could keep an eye on them and help prevent any improper reversions from certain users or IPs. In turn, I'll keep an eye on the 90210 redirects you created while I'm around (which I also agreed with). Thanks. -- James26 (talk) 00:13, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
"I like what you've done with [Naomi's] page too."
I appreciate that, thanks. Just to let you know, I've tried making a few efforts to improve the pages myself (so no one thinks I'm on a purely destructive streak). I searched through the L.A. Times, Entertainment Weekly, Yahoo!, and People magazine sites for notable coverage of these five characters -- in episode guides or elsewhere -- and didn't really find anything yet. Could be I wasn't thorough enough, so you may find something I didn't. Of course, there are other places to look as well, so again, best wishes with the articles. -- James26 (talk) 07:55, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

Re: Leona

I told you, she was very GOOD! I just hope she gets given better material, better budgets etc. cause lets be fair - she is the jewel in Syco Music's crown of recording artists. Spirit helped Syco generate 70% of Sony Music's UK revenue in 2007/08. So its obvious she is a main priority for them. She's defo better than Mimi atm. Regards, Lil-unique1 (talk) 19:42, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Hmm.. i was never really a big fan of Gabriella and so didn't expect much to be honest. But she didn't even meet those. I'll give her benefit of doubt because i saw her on opening night that's probably why she was so tense and stiff. On reflect i think Echo was a let down. Apart from "Stop Crying Your Heart Out", "Dont Let Me Down", "Alive", "Can't Breath" "I Got You", "Outta My Head" and "Lost and Found" the rest of it should have been scrapped and replaced with some of the leaked/stole songs. what annoys me is that people assume she's not capable of good music but her leaks prove that when given freedom she can produce good music. I think simon cowell is trying to mould her into the UK's answer to Mariah Carey. If they let her be more herself i think she could be much more than that. But who knows what happens behind closed doors. Look at the horrific mess that is Alexandra Burke's album. I cant believe "Start Without You" is being released as a single :O ??? ??? Lil-unique1 (talk) 20:04, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
Mate seriously listen to "Save Myself" or "Scene of the Crime" by leona on youtube and you'll see what i mean. As for Alex... search for the song on youtube and then tell me what you think. its so bad that she's been relegated to featuring an unknown rapper on it. If you thought her album was bad... *Hash's eyes roll* hehe regards, Lil-unique1 (talk) 20:10, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Naomi edit

Hey. Regarding this edit, I wanted to let you know why I've changed it again. Maybe you simply missed this, but a comma should be used there, not a period. Putting a period in creates a sentence fragment (and even though it could be made into two full sentences, I think the statement flows best as one). Secondly, the award nomination doesn't really need to be cited in the lead, IMO, since it's not something likely to be challenged. Let me know if you have any further concerns. Thanks. -- James26 (talk) 20:10, 23 June 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, you're absolutely right about the ref name method. What I was saying, was that I just don't think the ref needs to appear in the lead, because the award thing isn't likely to be challenged there (because it's easy to find below).
Now on the other hand, if I'm going to claim that a real person said something, or that a character is often considered the central one, I should probably source those claims in both places -- hence all of the citations, lol. -- James26 (talk) 00:21, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
If that will make the article better, then I certainly have no objections. I didn't even know the article was lacking ref names. I thought I'd added them, but I do tend to overlook things now and then. -- James26 (talk) 16:46, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
Hi. I know your work, so I'm sure that you have the best intentions, but we can't really have three non-free images in the article right now. It's currently nominated for GA. I removed the new one because I think the Tonight Show image should remain, since it displays notability. As for the other one, a lead image doesn't really need to be of the current season (there are no noticeable differences with this character anyway) and the new lead image didn't have specific info on the sourcing. It just said "Google images." So I returned the old one for now.
Maybe after the GA review is done we can work on replacing some images. Again, I don't mean any offense; I just want to stay careful right now and not get too decorative with the pictures. -- James26 (talk) 20:21, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. :)
Okay now...and again, the citation for the award nomination does not need to be in the lead. It's not "complex, current, or controversial." Neither does the citation about criticism. If you'd like to bring in a third opinion on this, that would be fine. I just think those citations are redundant, which is what a lead section should avoid. Maybe you'd like to ask someone else? -- James26 (talk) 20:34, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

If I'm understanding you correctly, I'll try answering your question. The "ref name" system isn't only used to repeat lead section citations. It's also used to repeat citations throughout the main part of the article (because sometimes the source has enough info to spread around). Look at ref #9 in the Naomi article. That's where ref name comes in sometimes. This isn't just for TV character articles, BTW. -- James26 (talk) 22:10, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

"The ref name I just think should be used anywhere in the article that uses the information from the source"
Not in the lead. :) Lead refs only appear when necessary (generally, to support a statement from someone, or to support something that could be controversial).
As for Kelly, sorry if I overlooked something unsourced in the MP section. Feel free to remove it if you wish. I probably gave more attention to the 90210 section because that was more current, and more likely to set an example for the new editors I think I mentioned.
The current Naomi image is just the one I prefer. I think it's far more dramatic/symbolic of the character (she looks perched and poised). But that's just my preference -- your voice counts too, of course. So if you'd like to change it, perhaps you could open discussion on talk page, invite others to share their views, and seek a consensus. Cheers. -- James26 (talk) 23:42, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

Hi Jamie, its been a while. Hope everything is going well by you. I would appreciate if you could imput your opinion here. It would greatly assist reaching a consensus.--PeterGriffinTalk 23:30, 26 June 2010 (UTC)

CW start dates

Hi there. Not sure if you saw this, but the CW has announced start dates for the fall season. See here. I know you work on a lot of CW show pages. Thought you could use the info. Sorry if you've already heard/updated things already--then just disregard. No need to reply, just an FYI. --Logical Fuzz (talk) 19:05, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
